I know there is a post below asking how to do this. And I know its probably not nice to start another post. But this is a huge Breakthrough IMO and one that I looked over for a long time! Anyways!
Ok so this is going to be a long post. Many moons ago I figured out how to get my MLB radio streamed to my SDA via Media Player connectivity, VNC, Thunderbird, and WMP for Windows Mobile.
Well. I figured it out for the S60v3. In some ways its cleaner then the old way but less functional. However, I think if we put our minds together maybe we can write a script or something that makes it alot easier.
Anyways here goes:
You Will Need:
VLC Media Player
Media Player Connectivity (Firefox Plugin)
ORB
OPTIONAL: VNC on your Phone/Computer
Ok here goes:
Step 1:
Setup Media Player Connectivity (On Machines that have access to MLB.COM) to Capture the Audio Stream: When configuring it set it up to capture Windows Media Streams. Then go to Page 2 of the Configuration Screen and select: SHOW A DIRECT URL LINK ICON
Step 2:
Go to MLB.COM and select your Audio stream. When it pops up as capture by MPC right click on the META icon in the bottom left and click "Copy Link Location"
Step 3:
Open up VLC and Choose: File: Wizard: Transcode Save to File (NEXT): Paste in your copied stream in the box (NEXT): Chose Transcode Audio Box ONLY and set it to mp3 16 bit (NEXT): Choose RAW (NEXT): Save the file as FILENAME.Mp3 in a folder that ORB searches audio for.
VLC Will now open and save that stream in the Orb Folder. You won't hear any audio don't worry.
Step 4: This is cool. Go to ORB and find the file that you saved. ORB will allow you to open it even though it is in the process of being saved. You will of course be a few seconds/minutes behind the feed but its better then nothing.
NOTE: I've only tried this with streams from yesterdays games as there are no games on today yet. However, I can't see why it wouldn't work exactly the same.
Now there are a few catches:
You kinda need to be able to get to a computer and setup the stream. Whether you do this from VNC or your work or home computer doesn't matter.
What does matter is speed. These links tend to expire very quickly so you need to jump on it fast and get it setup. It may not be possible to do it via VNC with the N95 for example unless you are really fast on the keypad.
Really the good thing about this is that you can leave the house and the stream will keep recording on your home machine. So 2 hours later you can listen to the game from the start if you like or Fast Forward to real time (I assume you can do this with RP on N95)
I'm hoping someone can write a script where all you have to do is copy the location into a VB box and it auto records or something.
Anyways. Hopefully this helps some MLB or NHL or whatever fans out.
I posted it on Symbian-Guru.com, as well, hopefully we can get a developer's attention to get a regular app (or even a python app that'll capture and convert the feed automatically)

Thanks dude. Although now you've ruined my belief that you are like batman and never reveal your true identity. j/k
My goal is to be able to VNC into my computer somehow from my n95 and in a quick manner get it going.
I just confirmed that it works with live feeds as well.
Its interesting because if you set it up and check it 15 minutes later it will show the play time as 15 minutes. SO you can fast forward right up to that point and then it will be barely a minute or so behind realtime.
Or you can start right from the beggining. I'll have to try a VNC program for Symbian to see if I can remote in and get it running fast enough I bet I can!
Tried streaming it over edge for the ride home. Lost connection a few times but for 40 minutes I got about 10 minutes uninterrupted 4 x's ..Not bad for edge
I don't have the NHL or MLB radio, but Orb converted my wma streams on the fly without need for any of the other programs. I don't like that it has to run at home, but that is ok since I like to listen to international radio stations that don't broadcast in other streaming formats.
