Just wanted to find out , what are the chances of them giving me chance to do hug to samsung galaxy s2 if i agree to go with $30 6g data plan? At this moment, I don't have a data plan with them, last hug was done last year where i used $200 credits towards no term price of samsung galaxy s. I m not eligble for another hug until 2013...do they make exceptions like rogers? I know for a fact, rogers used to quite lenient towards their save hup policy.

    Hi everyone,
I called Bell twice, and just got off the phone with the person. It seems that both times, the agents are really unwilling to ADD any additional features for you despite your profile (coming out of 3 year, credit history with company, etc). The first agent offered me these two plans, which are essentially the same:

    a) $35 (or +$20 for 1 GB):
    200 min
    E&W @6pm
Call Disp, Voicemail ... (I dont actually know if it is 5, 10, or 15)
    Unlim Text, Picture
    Fab10
    No activ. fee

    b) $65:
Same thing as (a) except I get 50 less minutes and 6 GB of data.

I always pay my bills on time and I've just finished a 3 year term with Bell. I'm leaning towards the 6 GB, but I feel that I'm getting kind of ripped off? Cao0215, you get an additional 200 min + 50min LD with unlimited Social Networking. The LD minutes will probably not be necessary for me, but the fact that you got them is what is perplexing (and angering) me. So with that being all said, what do I need to say to get them to budge a bit? Both agents so far have been completely unwilling to do any favours and add features. I asked them to give me 50 more minutes (I want to end up with @ least 250), they say, "we have to remove a feature to do that". From what I experienced, it appears that what they offered me initially is the BEST they can do...which is so frustrating. How do I get them to add Unlimited social networking and the 100 minutes?

Anyone have tips on what to say to the agents? The agents didnt care at all when I said I could get plans a lot better with wind or mobilicity...Do I have to specifically mention Rogers or Telus to get to them? If so, how, and all their normal plans are so expensive?

Thanks for your help in advance. This is my first time trying to deal with retention agents.

u should go with 65 plan, it includes un social networking for sure. But i think u said u may need un incoming? or u just need un social networking.

second, if u wanna get extra 100 day time min, u need to talk to RETENTION ONLY. Now they have the 100 promotion min and 50 promotion min, which i got both, 150 extra day time min, not 200 min, and 50 CA LD min which is in my daytime min if i use in the dt. Normally, different retention agent has different rules for giving u the credit, i always call more time to ask , so dont be afraid to talk to them , we r the customers, and ur reason can say u always use more than 200 min, is there any chance to get extra 100 min? i just called 3 times for these 150 extra min, so i dont think it is hard. And dont talk to a CSR about it, it is useless.

Now that 65 plan is match the Rogers same plan, but my rogers plan is really cheap , but the signal is too bad for me , so i just keep it, and move to bell.

Good luck man, and try more time .

Woops, my bad. Both plans come with unlimited incoming calls. I forgot to add that in during my angered rant. I am definitely going to get the $65 plan if I resign with Bell but their attitude towards customers is really making me reconsider. The 65 plan has everything that the $35/$55 plan does but it has 50 less DT minutes...and it does not include unlimited social networking.
Both times when I called, I specifically requested to speak with retention agents and no matter what I said to them- whether it is my credit history, competition with wind/rogers - when I mention that I want something added (even 50 extra minutes, which I hope will go to 100 after a couple more calls), they say I have to choose to remove a feature like unlimited incoming. I dont understand why they are not budging at the slightest bit. They claim that, "all the agents have a guideline and we cant add anything more," but I know they can when the two agents didnt even mention that there is a 10% loyalty discount. If I didnt bring it up, they never would have (Thanks a lot to the people on this forum for informing me!). When I threaten to cancel my month to month now with Bell if they dont negotiate this plan, the retention agent I talked to yesterday said, "Ok sure, it is your choice to go to whomever you wish."

So, I just have to keep calling and hope to get a better agent? How many times would you call per day? I dont want to wait for 20 minutes on hold just to get the same agent I talked to an hour ago...

    Also:
Now they have the 100 promotion min and 50 promotion min, which i got both, 150 extra day time min
What is this promotion specifically? Is it an free add-on to any retention plan because the agents I talked to were incredibly resilient to any free modifications to the plan they offered. Do I just need to ask for it and unlimited social networking - because they did not give me that either (shouldnt that be part of the 65$ plan originally anyway?

    Thanks!

normally , i call 5 times per day, u can still mention u need the promotion day time min, some CSR may give u or wait to get into the retention. btw, i dont have that lucky to meet the same rep.

the promotion is applied to any retention plan. 65 dont have the un social networking? coz i dont need it , but when i switch to 65 plan , that rep told me i will have it. Also, i call 2 times to confirm my plan , both reps told me i have social networking. I think u should call a CSR to confirm it. This is a part of the plan.
