Does Bell offer $0 Call Forwarding through retention?

I don't think it's fair to think that Bell doesn't have a lot of costs to cover. Think of the R&D costs for new networks/services, marketing, renting roof top space in urban centers for transmission equipment etc.

Granted, they are a public company that has been pretty profitable from our addiction to smartphones so I think a fair price is about $65/month for a good bountiful plan with all the typical bells and whistles...these $95 plans are really too high.

But charging 10 / 100 / 1000x less and still be profitable?

Man, where have you been in the last few years?

Bell is charging $51.20 per MB for using data off plan: Attachment 88882

$1 on the lowest tier flex plan and $0.04 on their highest tier and, as recently as last summer, was offering 6GB plans WITH VOICE for $60 .

That last plan offers data for more than 5120 TIMES LESS than the exact same product off plan, and they are still profitable.

I called again. Last time I had been offered the $56 plan like virgin and fido. This time I tried to see if I could get more data or mobile tv, but she wasn't offering it to me other than the prices online. How can I get something added, short of asking for it?

Also, she said there may be special plans coming out for the BB10 device. The thing is, they would be listed online and probably more expensive than the $56 plan I was offered. Is it best to grab the plan I was offered, or wait to see what plans they release? If I wait, would I get a discount from the listing price? My contract ran out 2 months ago.

my contract ends in a few months and the loyalty plan seems okay. Did I read here or somewhere else that you can not receive a phone with that plan? Does that make sense. I want to get the iphone 5 and don't want to spend more then $179 for the phone.

Is the loyalty plan the best thing out right now? Any 6gb plans that cost under $65?

Has anyone contacted retention lately for other newer plans? Seems like the one I have is still the best one out there, and I'm going onto my last year of my current 3yr plan...

Hi, I just stumbled upon this forum and thought I'd get advice from some of you, who know a lot more about cell phone plans than myself. My original 3yr contract with Bell just finished and I'm looking to upgrade to a new phone. I have a Bold 9700, but am looking to get the Z10. I can get it for $99.95 after a $50 loyalty credit. I think I may be able to get $45 trade-in for my Bold 9700 as well (not 100% sure about that). I'm looking for your opinion on if what retentions is offering me sounds reasonable.

200 anytime minutes (I use approx 100/month), not sure what extra min cost, never gone over though
Evenings and weekends from 6pm
100 LD minutes (I use approx 20/month), $0.10/min for extra CDN LD, $0.20/min for extra US LD
500 text messages (I use approx 50/month), $0.20/text for extra texts
6GB (I use approx 100MB/month, but anticipate using more with Z10, though probably nowhere near 6GB)
Call display, voicemail, call waiting/forwarding, etc

All in cost will be $54/month + taxes. I'd prefer something for under $50/month with only 3GB but forgot to ask if that was possible.

With my current plan I pay only $47/month + taxes, but have no LD minutes included, no text messages included, and only 500MB of data.

$53 a month andpiced up the iphone 5 under sub.

I didnt want to bay over 55. So that'sthe best i got. They took my previous plan and tweaked it. Had to up it by 2 bucks (changed text from 2500 to ulmtd)

Hi everyone I was just looking for some advice...
At the end of the month I get my HUG. I am currently half way through my 3 year sentence on a corp plan. The plan includes....

300 local day time minutes; with first minute free incoming
6pm to 8am unlimited local
Canadian LD at 7 cents per minute
American LD at 15 cents per minute
Caller ID and Voice Mail
Unlimited incoming texts,picture,video messages
2500 sent text messages
6 GB of data

Monthly Charge is $56.50 + HST

I am not sure if using my HUG and resigning into a 3 year term is the way to go. At this point I am leaning towards buying a second hand Galaxy s3, or a Nexus 4 and letting my contract run the term. I feel like Virgin and the other subbrands offer ample to my needs, especially with 10% off BYOD.

Do you think Bell will offer anything better to resign a 3 year contract, or should I just wait it out.

Just got a $50 10gb lte data plan from Bell's retention and with the fongo app. I get unlimited calling canada(free fongo) + unlimited texting(1.99 fongo) + 10gb lte data plan + Voicemail/caller(free fongo) = $51.99!! Not bad

Using this on my ipad mini lte xD

Thank you to emann56 for suggesting Fongo. After trial for several days, I noticed that the texts were not coming through which was very inconvenient. I called up retentions and they offered me the following:

200 local day time minutes.
unlimited local calling nights and weekends.
unlimited text, picture and video messaging.
Caller ID and Voice mail.
Base Rate is $27.00
Add on 500 minutes long distance: add $5.00
Because my data option was a loyalty feature, I keep my 6GB at $30.00

All in $62.00 + HST

Anyone have anything similar?
