Yup, 3G isn't dependent on the SIM. I've used my ancient Rogers AT&T SIM on 3G with 3G phones here. Full reception at the bottom of Granville SkyTrain station here in Vancouver (subway thing), running on 850 Mhz HSDPA, and no other phones work there that I know of.
That because there're different versions of china3gpp. They all look the same, but the program inside is different. I just received the newest china3gpp hypersim yesterday and the supplier said it works with rogers4000 and fido ou2 sim card and att sim card as well. Haven't got chance to test it.
sounds like that sim is just rumored to work on 4000 sim. Getting a 3040 means you are 100% sure it will work. I'd rather pay 8 bucks to make sure it'll work than waste 60 or more to find that the sim hack doesn't work

Dammnit, Doesn't work -- MY ******* Phone is still paperweight X_X. If anybody has the p900iv...can you guys test it with other SIM hacks and tell me if they're working or not?
It does not run on ATT in the USA (Midwestern states, Minnesota)!!
My Sim chip serial number is:
71234G 3022 (On the back)
It's the blue and white ones with a 3G fireball in the white part.
My SH905i keeps on restarting and does not do anything. I've tried setting my SIMKJ into my ATT branded phone for a couple of hours, and no luck. I cannot even receive calls from my ATT branded phone either, I can make calls though.
On T-mobile, the SH905i actually starts up; but it says, "USIM outgoing locked". I cannot make calls, but I can receive calls.
The Inex worked better than this with my tmobile sim, but then I forgot where I placed my Inex....
I need help on unlocking my "USIM Outgoing Locked" issue...

I didn't think that the p900iv had GSM... Even if you did get it unlocked you wouldn't be able use it... Is multimedia on it unlocked or something?

It seems like I'm getting similar issue where I can take incoming calls and not being able to make outgoing calls. It's giving me "ACmax regulation cannot dial" error. Anyone know how to handle something like this?
I tried CPRing the sim, but my sim was not detected by my unlocked w810i so... it's not recognized when SIMKJ is placed with my sim.

I stuck my Tmobile sim into a Tmobile branded phone and it kept on searching for about 5 hours to no luck.
Mine says this when I try to dial, "Set charged Limit exceeded"

I'm getting a tad pissed off about this....
I've emailed allen and he says he's willing to ship me the newer version (I think he's refering to Allen Extreme). Haven't confirmed yet.. I'm asking him exactly what sim he is going to exchange for this defective one. It's going to take me a while before I get it though cause I have to ship it back. then he has to confirm that he's received it and then send me the new sim =/
