Who's paying for it? If you're paying for it then why should it matter? If he's paying for it then that's another story. You've already spent so much on the phone... what's a few extra bucks?
I am.
I've paid for everything with my own money, I don't see why he has to get so much into it.
Anyways, I found a good deal for $15 (+$15 shipping) and I already bought the i-smartphone.
I have got a so905iCS and received the hypersim today, I inserted it in my other phone and made a call then put it in the japanese phone, the network is fine but the stereo speaker doesnt work.. only with headphones
heey,
i just recently bought the inex hypersim ,
and it was the newest version so basically that meant that it would work with the rogers 4000 card, ( im using the F905i phone)
but unfortunately, when i turned it on, it only said " Unable to recognize UIM" or something like that and where the signal bars are supposed to be, it said "TML" .
okayy so i rebooted it, CPRd it, did everything i can,
and it still siad "TML"
can someone please help me?
thannks,

Could it be the sim? its i-smartphone 2008 sim.
Thanks
Try looking at your settings, and seeing if any of the sound speakers are turned off. Other than that, I would have to think that it's a problem with the phone itself, I doubt the hypersim can really affect the phone's sound system.

The i-smartphone/iNex hypersims seem to work the best with all models of Japanese phones, but the iNex is phone specific. Also, as we do not know your type of SIM card, we could be unsure about the problem, however, the iNex seems to work on just about anything.

Have you tried to jumpstart your phone? (see keitai users thread)
It means putting your SIM card+hypersim in a normal phone for a few days, with some activity on it, then put it in your Japanese phone, try this first.
My 920SH/922SH/812SH Multimedia unlock hypersims were manufactured on black colored i-smartsims. They seem a bit better than the original chipsets that were no-named (because they were significantly cheaper when you were making 10,000+ units)
To what I know as of now, no hypersim will really accept older Fido or Rogers sim cards (UO.2) or 4000 cards. Sometimes the quality of the simhack will determine things, but INex is proven to be quite stable. According to mark tang, 3030, some 3040 rogers sims and fido Sm32 and St32 will work. (Rogers can reviece and uses 3G) I have to go out and buy a keitai! :P suggestions?

Yes I have tried that in a nokia phone, but when I tried to make a call, it said error in connection....

Thats funny... quite ironic tho. I have a Rogers 4000 series card. It works with all the hypersims that I've programmed.
And then a friend of mine is using one of my hypersims with a Fido (M32) SIM and he's not having issues either.
So if you come across hypersims that don't like Rogers 4000 cards then something's wrong with them. My I have a small bag and they all don't care about 4000 or what series because they even work with my Voice Stream SIM card (Voice Stream is the carrier name for T-Mobile US before they became T-Mobile )

Hmmm I beg to differ I've tested fido SM32, U0.02, rogers 3040, 4000.
They all worked fine on my SH906i and my old 904sh/P905i with Inex hypersim and some types of Ismartphone2008 (this one brand type has too much versions -_-)
You sure you don't mean that some hypersims don't work with "newer" sim cards? lol >.> thats the case for the older Ismartphone2008.....but then there are newer ones that are compatible with most sims.
Edit:
AH DAMNIT! IonNuke beat me to it D:

Contrary to popular belief I'm not really obsessed or in love with tofu as a food, sure its good and all but I'm not in love with it. Someone else typed this name for me when I was registering >_>
ps. For future reference just qoute me as Tofu instead of the whole name....sounds too cheesy LOL

i think what it might be is on docomos working with newer sims. Like how the same combo would work on a softbank, but then on a docomo it wont work. Similar to how takumi906 told me his att sim would work with his china3gpp on his 904sh, but on his sh905i it did not work and the phone wouldnt boot or keep rebooting

I think its the older i-smartphones or that my friend had a fake hypersim...
Ive never actually heard of a 4000 sim card working with hypersims. Good programing!
