i assuming when the signal goes out on 3g, have to set the phone to 3g to cpr?
I remember martin had a n901is too and it detected the uk networks but it wouldnt connect with hypersim. Seems like it would have had to be cpr'ed to get any signal and connect.
I still wonder why I have not found any 3g networks with the 905i's I used. BUt i am also not sure if I am in an 850 area.
Better than me, T-Mobile 3G network isnt even on the band that keitai use from what I've seen.
I made a 3G call on my friends SIM card using 3G but didnt notice any difference in call quality so I'm not about to get upset about it... until someone hacks the full web browser into working on non i-mode networks that is ;P
I just want the extra coverage of 850mhz, the voice quality I agree, I dont see a difference, the att forum people make it out to be night and day when it really isnt
Damn... where were you two months ago!? :P How about a breakthrough of getting the full web browser to work! (or GPS, I can dream right )
Sometimes I'll pull up the Japan map/gps utility, pick a city like tokyo, and just pretend im going to the store by navigating through the streets until I hit a 7-eleven. At least it gets SOME use that way.
2 months ago when I didn't have a N-02A I was working off programming code. So I was making guesses and relaying the data to someone that had N-02A for testing
I dunno. It would help if someone in the forum donated me phones to test with but seeing how this world sucks it doesn't happen like that

You mean the Tokyo maps actually work w/o a data connection? Could you post some pictures of that?
In my 923SH it says that it can only be used in Japan. (yeah, it's a softbank though)
