    There's another type of hypersim in use but currently only tested to work in Singapore and Taiwan. People in those countries with the hypersim and their docomo phones can have 3G working. Incoming/Outgoing Calls and SMS. Some use video calls too but as of now, video calling just cost way too much per 30 seconds.

    It's all good (^_^)

    Everyone's on their own for hypersims. I'm out har har har har har~~~~

    so has that new hpyersim been tested in canada? I don't really need video calling, just kinda need the better 3G network coverage since I live in a basement and my reception for the normal GSM sucks pretty bad.

    damn...so disappointed to find out that you cant use the 3G network here for sb phones...

    Good thing that I bought a DoCoMo keitai instead of a Softbank keitai since DoCoMo has 3G that works in North America

    SoftBank has never offered 850Mhz 3G since day one so..........................

    As for Docomo only select models have 850Mhz 3G.

    Where can we check whether the docomo model has 850Mhz? I tried looking at the docomo website but it always only says 3G/GSM but it never says which band.

    And for my question earlier, besides the new type of hypersim that was mentioned, is it impossible to use the rogers 3G network with a U0.2 sim card?

    No, you can use 3G with a U2.0 and a iNEX Hypersim, it's just that you won't be able to receive any calls At least you can make calls

    @Chillyman:
    I need it to be able to making both incoming and outgoing I know with 3040 + i-smartphone I am about to do both before. My question is can U0.2 do the same?

    @aw614:
    Unfortunately that information is outdated and I lost my F906i Waiting to get a new one when I go back to HK in august....

    Incoming and outgoing with U0.2....... and our new iSmart'09 or 3G-SIM you can get it all going on 2G. The name 3G-SIM just adds support for 3G SIM cards as that was previously a problem.

    So I won't be able to do it on 3G? Sorry to sound like I insist on needing to get on the 3G network, because they reception at my place for 2G is really bad (it can go OUT suddenly without moving at all)

    3G in Canada is untested and unknown. I don't live in Canada so yeah that pretty much sums it up

    2G is enough IMO.... nothing real special using 3G in North America.

    ^ Except for the fact that reception is so much better than 2G.

    Yeah but either doesn't really matter. If 3G is actually needed I'll run out and buy one of those lame phones from my carrier......oh wait I live in a remote area where 3G doesn't exist yet
