Not 3G 1900, just 3G 850 and 2100. That's only docomo ones anyway; SoftBank ones only do 3G 2100. They all do GSM 900/1800/1900 though.

'World Wing' is docomo's brand name for global roaming service. It has nothing to do with any other carrier.

I'm new this is my first post, so apologize in advance if this has been answered or asked before.

So I'm about ready to buy a japanese phone import. Looking at the DoCoMo 06A or 07A. Based on ebay prices looking at dropping $600 or so. A few questions.

The seller on Ebay say it has hypersim. So here go a few questions....

#1. Is the hypersim pre installed? what will I have to do with my sim card?
#2. I'm on T-mobile US, will everything work fine with the phone?
(Based on the 30+ pages I've read here, it seems hypersims work pretty smoothly with T-mobile. Is that accurate?
#3. Reading the web will not be accessible?...no big deal to me...never use the web on my phone anyways!
#4. Will all the application functions work, can I watch video & listen to music & view photos I put on the phone?

Thanks for all feedback, I'm still probably a few weeks from dropping the $ for the phone, but want to know what to expect in advance.

Hypersim is DIY. And they should work for T-mobile. Heh well I test them on t-mobile and create some too lol.

Thanx for the responses u 2! Watching that video calmed me down. As I know I could do that with my sim np. Looks very easy!

Watched videos of both the SH-06A & 07A, and the 06A looks like the way I'll go.

Called 3 T-mobile stores about getting a Japanese phone import & this hypersim stuff & they were all clueless, 2 of them said you better make sure the phone is good on 850mhz & 1900mhz, most Japanese phones are not & we (T-mobile) don't use the 900mhz & 1800mhz.

One of them went on to say Japan uses a exclusive Mhz that will not work here at all. He obviously has no idea what he is talking about.....lol

T-Mobile is retarded. Most of them just ask me questions and my customer service call of 20min ends up being like 3 hours of them all asking me questions.

Basically T-Mobile service uses 1900Mhz. You're okay with a Japanese mobile on the T-mobile service.

I have been using T-Mobile for a good 7 years. I haven't seen a problem yet Best part is T-mobile service works with damn well near every hypersim. It's not picky like AT&T is.

iNex works with T-Mobile but I've heard of some users in many cases say that iNEX gives worse reception than carriers in Canada.

T-Mobile US can accept any hypersim really and it all evens out for reception.

It appears that Canadian carriers are more picky than US carriers.

Yeah iNEX is surprisingly compatible with Rogers. But with US carriers it seems rather unstable from time to time. That's kinda funny.

So inex may not always be the perfect solution to everyone.
