Installed my i-smartphone hypersim with my t-mobile sim card, I believe its installed correctly. Just got the phone.
So plugged it in to a charger & turned it on to setup while charging.
#1. I get the message "UIM outgoing locked"...is that because I haven't had the chance to switch it to GSM, is it defaulted to 3G?
#2. after that screen goes away I get a screen saying "enter security code"....what i the security code & what do I press to accept, which button is the 'ok" button on this phone LOL.
finally got my BBSim to work (via n_bennyhk from hardwarezone), and this is what i got so far:
BBSim:
went 10 minutes with "signal out" yesterday, recovered automatically to GSM then to GPRS 5 seconds later. took train to manhattan today, no problem above ground, until train went underground. did not auto get back signal despite usually having reception at Penn Station underground (with other hypersim). did on/off to get back signal, got back GSM signal then GRPS again. took subway to rockerfeller center (15 mins), "signal out" again, no auto get back signal when i reached above ground. on/off got back GSM signal but this time no GRPS. went below ground again for 30 minutes, "signal out" of course. above ground again, no auto get back signal. on/off got back GSM but no GRPS again. coming home from underground, no auto get-back signal, on/off again got GSM but not GRPS.
noticed turning phone on/off, plus phone auto-searching for GRPS in GSM mode drains battery power alot. but i did not have to CPR at all.
IonNukes iSmart'09:
can automatically signal recover to GRPS even afer 40 minutes of "signal out" (longest ive pushed it so far). when entering underground going to manhattan, signal goes out then recovers automatically to GRPS, unlike bbsim which requires a manual on/off (theres signal at penn station, even at underground). though if you lose signal and doesnt recover, on/off isnt gonna help and youll have to CPR. sometimes tho ive gotten a "signal out" for only a couple of mintes, no auto-recovery, and had to cpr when i got home. even gotten "signal out" at home where i have full reception.
depends on what you want. both have their strong and weak points. imo if ismart had on/off auto recover like bbsim has, itd totally dominate
hello, i was wondering which hypersim is best for the docomo sh-04a? im getting too many "signal out"... I bought this cheap cheap china one, and its works....somtimes. do you know which one is the best for Pasadena, California USA?
hello, thank you for responding :-D i am currently with T-Mobile, in California USA, sometimes i dont have the 圈外 symbol and i CAN call.. but i cant text for some reason.... and someitmes i do have the 圈外 and i cant do anything until i CPR... please help
Morning Joe, I think its just my office, probably something to do with our travelagency having 9 computers that are all wirelessly networked to 2 wireless routers in the ceiling panels.
I have a full signal all night last night at home, which is only a few blocks away on foot.
Back at the job today just for a few hours, found if I leave the phone on my office windowledge (interior) of course, lol. It keeps a 2-3 bar signal, so far today...
Guess if I want to keep it on @ work thats were it has to stay..haha
Very odd, but I'm serious if I move the thing just a few feet & set it on my desk it will drop to 1 bar & then drop signal soon after.
