I asked on behalf of the Mr.Sim hypersim if it would work with my 3G simcard , but I guess nobody knows , cause nobody have tried so far.

I'm in a complication. Still figuring out with the guy for the 8800 arte trade , cause the sh-06a won't work with his simcard , he even got a new one - 3g one , but the simcard looks different than may , it's not "rounded" chip , it's "square" chip , and I don't know if it does matter what kind is it.
Hypersim is i-smartphone but I think it's not really good , probably it costs like $20USD. ****.

Err, everyone's said it a couple times but yeah. If you aren't in one of the following: Canada, Singapore, Taiwan, forget about 3G. Not happening as of right now.

edieboy, I think icenio was referring to compatibility with 3G USIMs. IonNuke's 3G-SIM has a higher compatibility with 3g USIMs but they won't work on 3G network mode despite the name (well unless you're in Canada/SG/TW)

Why unless in Canada/SG/TW , what's so special about them ?

We have a 3G network here as well... i'm just wondering, why not ? Can somebody explain some more ?

Yeah a lot of people that test this don't live in Bulgaria. They're mostly in CA, SG, TW, and Hong Kong.

Some hypersims just don't like 3G USIMs but work on normal SIM cards. Nothing to do with the network (other than typically 3G plan=USIM).

Now if only someone here would sell a HyperSIM that worked on 3G... So far the only combination I've seen that worked is Mr. SIM 2.0 + L601i (810P+Mr. SIM 2.0 refuses to recognize it, and SO905i+Mr. SIM 2.1 sticks the phone in a reboot loop), and as I've said, if I wanted a cheap LG flip with a sub-QVGA screen I can get that free on contract with Unicom as of yesterday. On the other hand, the "delayed 3G" cards work fine with HyperSIMs.

Yeah, the 156 cards. The annoying thing is I stuck mine in my 904T and still no 3G signal. Called up Unicom only to be told I now have to go through some paperwork to make the switch. "Annoying" is putting it lightly, especially since I was told that the switch-over would be automatic. Oh well, can't complain, I got it for free, after all (seems Unicom and my school have a deal; all new students were handed Unicom 156 SIMs during orientation, though I seem to be the only one I know who actually started using mine). I may end up giving it to my sister if my next keitai is China-market or SW-unlocked (or I may give in to temptation in Kobe and get a white-ROM SH-08A).

Okay , I understand that these people don't live in Bulgaria , and that some hypersims don't like 3G SIMcards , so the only option left is just to try ? Right ?

So I guess getting a hypersim that works with a 3G 128bit SIM card would be the right choice ? Any one in particular and a suggestion where to get from ? Or to get for free for test purposes , cause otherwise buying 1-2-3-5 hypersims would be like $200 USD , which scenario I don't like. Spending money just on "trying" something ? :] And if it doesn't work ? Just shove it up my *ss ?

It varies from programmer to programmer.

Mine may work better than some and some may work better than mine.
