I could probably shove in a full sized sim card with my next V7 but then it would be a REALLY tight fit lol
Contrary to popular belief I'm not really obsessed or in love with tofu as a food, sure its good and all but I'm not in love with it. Someone else typed this name for me when I was registering >_>
ps. For future reference just qoute me as Tofu instead of the whole name....sounds too cheesy LOL
You didn't need to cut the your SIM card to use the Next SIM?
Does this apply to anyone else? I would love to not cut my SIM card.
to use china3gpp on p905i, you don't need cut the sim coz the chip on pss-sim is tiny and there's enough space to put it with the sim card without cuting sim card.

Basically you buy this mobile and then get the SIM hack but you don't really know which one will work and then it also depends on the carrier as well as the type of SIM within a particular carrier ??
How is someone supposed to know which SIM hack to buy ? At these prices it may be an expensive process to find the right item.
I think this particular thread is a good thing but it has just gotten to the point as to add more fuel to the fire, it's just more confusion, especially for someone not on a Canadian carrier.

Yeah, it's all down to our testing to find out which SIM hacks works for which phone on which SIM type on which carrier.

It's a risk we're willing to take XD........besides everyone posting 50 threads asking the same thing is kind of annoying and it builds up more confusion.....having one specific thread with some results should help if anything....
For US user, if you are using AT&T: No SIM Hack works. No iNex, No NextSim, No i-Smartphone No Nothing. It will Not work!!
If you are on T-Mo, any recent SIM Hack will Work if you have the newer SIM card. So find the cheapest one out there!!
For Canada user, same thing, read the thread. All Sim Hack will work with the older SIM (3400??) If you have the 3G or 4000 SIM, Nothing will work!!
So if you see someone say a particular SIM type with with a SIM Hack, use that SIM and then any SIM Hack will work....
iNex and China3GPP are basically the same thing and they works with only certain SIMs. If you have the wrong SIM to began with, don't even bother with finding a same hack. So the real question is what SIM card you have...if you have the SIM that everyone says it works, then you don't really have to worry about what SIM hack to use.

nice! now i understand everything thanks!
the biggest problem is that i have a 4000 Sim card.
I wonder if they will come out with a sim hack that works with the 4000 sim card.
or can I change my sim card to the older version (3400) at rogers??
anyone tried that?
In Toronto, you can transfer you number from a rogers4000 sim card to a 3030 or 3040 sim card. Rogers charge $75 for doing this. Fido won't do the transfer.

I realise that and that's great because many of you guys are in the same location so all of the trial and error has been done but if your one person it's just not practical to try out all the different SIM's.
I still have not checked my Powerball ticket from Saturday so I may be in a position to do it after all

Yes, I agree with you with all the confusion on which sim hack to use especially for someone not on a Canadian carrier. But for Philippine Telcos (Sun Cellular, Globe Telecoms, Smart), I have tested China3GP and X-sim and they work fine for sharp 904SH and 920sh(calling and SMS only). I must assume that our carriers are Japanese Phone friendly. lol
Tada! Just got my "i-smartphone 2008" SIM hack and it works fine with my P905i and a Rogers 3030 (Rogers AT&T) SIM!!!!!!!!!!! AHH!HH!!!!! I'll test this baby out to see how reliable it is, but so far, so good. It's on set on automatic network type, by the way. Doubt 3G will really fully work, but who knows. And lol at my poor SIM...had to cut it up again...hahah
