Ok understood but they just can't keep reversing all the charges, something's gotta give.
Unless the customer is a repeat offender, which most likely won't happen after you get a $22k bill.
Anyway, I agree with Addo. I guess I was too quick in making judgement.
Anyway, this is gonna be a mess at the start but will resolve itself quickly. I still think Edge777 will disagree with everyone more so with I.Fido

I wouldn't do it but I find it quite funny.

but its a lot different if you took that highway with no signs stating that its a toll road (maybe some small fine print signs that anyone could easily miss or highway officials telling you either road is free)... then at the end of the road they have one toll booth that asks for $10K.
My Plans x2 (Fido) : $50 Unlim wCanUS-LDandSMS/$30 6gig/$10 callID/vm (-$10credits.each) = $80+tax

Haha, Fido doesn't much like to give out any useful information. It's kind of figure it out by yourself, or the CSR's get to make it up on the spot.
Just because you are not told doesn't mean people are making it up. Anyone here who works with us can confirm there is a policy in place.
So how many of these "cases" are there?
I'm trying to gauge how many people were stupid enough to use the u/l plan on an unlocked / uncompatible phone.
I'd guess the % of people actually using an unlocked phone and subscribing to a data plan is already pretty small itself.

That would be a bit useless to do since most Fido customers don't come on Howardforums
got my bill today... 20 551,73$
20 551,73$!!!
for 355mb of data on my 'unlimited surfing' plan on a fido handset..
i will try to call them tomorrow because there's no way i'm gonna pay a cent more than last month.
i can't withdraw more than 2,000$ a day from my credit card but i can have a 20k cellphone bill? this is ridiculous!
Ahahahahhahahahahah
Sorry dude but that cracked me up...
No but really, i feel bad for you
Give us some details : What phone u used ? Did you use a different browser then the crazy one that came with your phone ?
Adi

Uh oh. Here it comes.
last time I checked, opera mini and Google Maps weren't included with your phone.

lol classic =)
but seriously, the charges are valid then. however Im sure fido will still credit the OP but give a stern warning (if he is lucky)... but why fido is allowing any one's bill to get to that level is beyond me! like he says, credit cards give limits and monitor crazy activity but Fido has no issues letting things ride to $20K +.
thank god for my anything goes 12mb =) and when my contract on this line is up, another one to telus unlimited =)
Wow, threaten them that you will contact your lawyer and that you will let the newspapers know of this. They will reduce it, just to avoid bad PR.
