After the upgrade my Gmail icon looks smaller. I am using the downloaded application. Anyway to make the icon bigger?

i had that issue with the opera mini, the O was real small. i just deleted it and reinstalled it and it was normal size again..

Read about this update at houston airport while coming back from vacation yesterday. At work right now and cant wait to upgrade when i get home after reading so many +ve things about it.
One thing i constantly see after reading this 13 page (as of this writing) thread is, the best way to upgrade is to format SDCard and start from scratch. I see many ppl are having issues with backup and what not.

Sure it will take me 1-2 hr to put everything on there but i think that is the cleanest way to do things.

I had 0 (zero) problems. Every app I had on there works great after restoring the backup onto the new firmware.

in my mind the transition was seamless... Unlike every sony ericsson firmware update iv done.

has anyone notice that when you slide the N95 to view play/stop key on home screen. The mutimedia screen doesnt come up anymore?

I know ill prolly et flamed for this, but i kinda liked it. With rotate me installed the only time i flipped the multimedia keys open was to do just that,,,, multimedia - I kinda miss it..

god that multi media screen appearing in landscape mode was friggin horrible! nokia removed it by popular demand that goodness its been removed from the 8GB models since the beginning.

Most definitely. Which is why I just ended up getting used to using the multimedia keys after launching the music player.

I am experiencing incredible lock on times with Nokia Maps. Google Maps locks on great and is blazingly fast. Any reason why Nokia Maps would suffer like this after the update?

I don't understand what you're asking? You said GPS locks fast in both apps, but you think something is suffering?

Jesus Christ. Its like a whole new phone. Its amazing. So many little things that bugged me before are suddenly gone. Simply shows why nokia is the best, even if they did take a little bit longer than we would have liked. The firmware definitely does not disappoint.
I'm in my room, lying in my bed and I got a gps lock faster than when I used to be outside. It was ridiculous. Everything is so much smoother. Watched a video I had uploaded a while ago to youtube on full screen, played back effortlessly. Lets see how many people switch to an iPhone now.
