    Thanks.
its the fl3/widget plug-in in the new nokia update that has made opera unstable. There was a fix via removing an opera plug-in when you used the FCA hack but now that has been fixed by nokia, there's no way to do it. I also use opera 24/7 and finding it nearly redundant on majority of my bookmarks. You can try using opera in speed mode in their options instead of quality. That seems to do the trick on most sites because its stripped out the lovely colours, moving images etc that i love to see. If you hear of a fix please let me know. I love small screen rendering and am not into nokia's safari scroll scroll scroll scroll which i find useless to me.

I am having the most difficult time doing this.
My phone came withhte Nseries Pc Suite and it wouldnt do anything. It wouldnt even backup my device. I had to download the regular PC suite to get my back up done(after it installed something to my phone). Now, neither program will run the update. They both say "CAN NOT CONNECT TO NOL SERVER"
I cant get around this, and cant find any settings for this in the program. Please help!

Could you explain - I must be a little slow this morning. When I added contacts to the carousel I just see my contact list.

have any of you guys noticed battery life improvements? My battery is lasting longer after the update. Whenever i leave the phone on standby for some time i usualy droped a line or two in the batery life. Now after I leave teh phone for the same amount of time and even longer without a charge, i am still on FULL battery.

    Likin it

He's referring to the carousel from the -2 and -4 models which is different to the multimedia menu of the -3.

thats it. its just 5 more spots. you can arrange the tiles so that contacts is the first one to appear when you press the multi media button. that's all.

with my -4 i noticed the battery is much better. specifically when you run energy profiler, during idle the power drain goes way down to like 0.1 and actually less. where the -3 only went to 0.3. so they did some tweaking with the power management for sure.

Yes, the on-screen menu for the camera appears but the display is blank...because the lens isn't open yet.

altogether this is a nice upgrade. I was dumb enough not to do a full re-install of software but so far (i think) this hasn't affected me. I had to reinstall vnes and vsun, and a few others but nothing major. Its disappointing that emtube doesn't work anymore but mobitubia is nice.

However - although other flash sites now work (break.com works nicely), youtube mobile still doesn't work for me - neither does the application. I checked my flash and it says v3 so I'm sure it upgraded fine. I'm not worried since mobitubia works fine but I'd like to figure this out in case its an indicator that I frakked up. Any suggestions?

Also, I'm not sure if this is a firmware or a maps 2.0 thing, but in the main screen if i start searching (if i just start typing) it crashes with a "kern" error.

    thanks for any suggestions
    -z

You have to scroll in both, of course, but I like the way Opera manages the text so you only have to scroll down, not all over the page. Plus I like (and have grown very used to) the simple system of shortcut keys and other functionality.

I tried the speed mode setting, but it still didn't work very well.

Seems to me Opera will have to issue a patch for this, don't you think?
