Rotation on both landscape-sides works with RotateMe now.
What version of RotateMe? I just realized that it was still 2.0 beta installed on my phone when I did the backup and it doesn't work now. I also need to reinstall Windows Live for S60

I got 2.1 Beta 2 after installing the update and now the rotation works properly.

By the way, I did the update in about 30 minutes at work this morning. I had to go to our Kitchener location but I saw that the firmware was out and made sure I updated before I left. I backed up everything to my memory card and left it in the phone while the update was happening (i forgot to remove it) and for the most part everything is fine. There are a couple apps that don't work (RotateMe 2.0 beta and Windows Live for S60) but I don't think that's due to any problem with the backup
That's with nothing but Device Status and Standby running.
After updating i did a 3 key format as i always do. Before installing anything my phone is showing after format
ROM 8192kb
RAM free 92mb Total 120mb
C drive free139mb Total 147mb
Device memory 8640 in use 139 free memory

Mine shifts to landscape view. Don't remember what it did before.
Previously it would take you to the multi-media menu. Which was always a pain in the *** to me.
I guess I'll be updating. What makes me frustrated though, is that nokia will add features, but not correct long-standing bugs...such as the "mobile phone icon" bug in the call list.
Does anyone know if s60 has a bug tracker anywhere?
Quick question: What happens if you slide to open the multi-media keys? Still the MM menu, or what?
Shifts to landscape view, no multimedia menu. However, when you press the MM key, the MM menu loads with absolutely no lag and the icons slide in so smoothly now.
Some more little things I've noticed that have changed.
-Like someone said above, Nokia Maps gets downgraded to v1.2 even if you had 2.0 Final installed
-The camera makes a different sound effect when it locks focus onto something (it's more of a blip noise than the previous click noise)
-After you take a picture, a loading bar appears and says 'Processing image' where it previously just froze for a few seconds. The images are also processed maybe a couple seconds faster.

Having played with it for about an hour now, and having re-installed my original apps, I must say I LOVE THE NEW FIRMWARE. Wow!
- Way faster boot time
- UBER FAST camera load time
- Browser seems faster, pages seem to load quicker (not as laggy, but still somewhat laggy) and yes, youtube.com works. No need for the mobile version anymore. But videos are kind of HUGE on the display. Maybe there's a way to resize them? It does work as advertised!
- Jumping around the menu seems faster. Not as laggy as before. Maybe that has something to do with the demand paging? I'm kind of dumb when it comes to that stuff.
- Unfortunately the "useless key" (multimedia key or whatever they call it?) is still useless. They should make naked chicks pop up on the screen when you press that button...
- On my N95-3, Device Status is reporting:
Memory in use: 51MB
Free Memory: 96MB
That's with nothing but Device Status and Standby running.
For anyone about to do the update...It does wipe the phone. Your contacts, pictures, apps and settings are toasted. Make a backup with PC Suite first. I restored after the update and everything was fine...except the apps. Reinstall. I also pulled out my 8GB memory card before doing the update just to be safe.
My Access Point settings were restored as were my bookmarks and text messages. Pretty painless if you ask me.
Thank you Nokia.
Ok just to be clear, I should back up all phone memory and take my memory card out b4 this update? (obviously no reason to back up memory card right?)
thanks all...
AND FINALLY !
