    Two other enhancements I noticed...

    - The dialing window is framed with a white background. I don't remember this from before? There's something different about it and I'm not sure yet just what it is

    - North American dialing/spacing is supported. When you dial a number now, it breaks down the 1 555 555 1212 spaces automagically. I don't recall it doing this before--the numbers were all squished together.

And for the HoFo who asked about Opera Mini and YouTube. No, it doesn't work. Keep in mind Opera Mini browsing content gets "operaized". The Nokia browser is the real deal. Raw content. That's why it works. I tried Opera Mini on YouTube--not just passing gas and guessing here.

Seriously, you'll have to grab your ankles until they fix that. Find an XP computer for the time being. This update is totally worth the hassle of visiting a friend/work/wherever computer to do the flash.

Glad I never upgraded to Vista. Sounds hellish.

So then I uninstalled - reinstalled and made sure to check off "Run with Windows XP SP2 compatibility" Everything was going fine but during the software installation I got a "Nokia Host Process has caused an error and will now close". So since then the "updating phone software" window hasn't moved. It says if I disconnected the cable I'll damage my phone and I don't want to do that. What should I do??

As I stated in my post a few pages back, you must be patient. It hangs for 30-45 seconds when you first click install, and the actual install process takes at least a few minutes. It's a big, big program.

I've tried 3 or 4 times and it says "can't install." Stays with version 1.2

Nice upgrade. Too bad it didn't come with Maps 2.0 installed (requiring the re-install), or better yet, UDP. Maybe next time. Too bad there's not an "easy sync" for applications. Something tells me that Apple will implement that.

I noticed the white background but I could swear that you are able to change the size of the numbers and the color of the background. Maybe I'm crazy....

Make sure you are downloading the final version (not the betas), and that, like the previous poster said, you wait a few minutes to let it install.

Are you sure you didn't run out of memory? (Storage space). Check that in the Device Status or whatever.

Did it ask you to install to the Phone or Card memory? Try the card or vise versa.

Is it just me or does the browser tend to open links in seperate windows more frequently now...?

Was the camera gridlines option present in V11? I don't remember seeing it before.

Maps 2.0 works for me and locked on me indoors. Took a while for the install bar to first show up though (and the 1st time to quit).
