- The dialing window is framed with a white background. I don't remember this from before? There's something different about it and I'm not sure yet just what it is
- North American dialing/spacing is supported. When you dial a number now, it breaks down the 1 555 555 1212 spaces automagically. I don't recall it doing this before--the numbers were all squished together.
And for the HoFo who asked about Opera Mini and YouTube. No, it doesn't work. Keep in mind Opera Mini browsing content gets "operaized". The Nokia browser is the real deal. Raw content. That's why it works. I tried Opera Mini on YouTube--not just passing gas and guessing here.
Seriously, you'll have to grab your ankles until they fix that. Find an XP computer for the time being. This update is totally worth the hassle of visiting a friend/work/wherever computer to do the flash.
Can someone please help? I'm using Vista and first time I tried installing the stupid updater it told me "Vista isnt supported as of 3 weeks ago "
So then I uninstalled - reinstalled and made sure to check off "Run with Windows XP SP2 compatibility" Everything was going fine but during the software installation I got a "Nokia Host Process has caused an error and will now close". So since then the "updating phone software" window hasn't moved. It says if I disconnected the cable I'll damage my phone and I don't want to do that. What should I do??
Anybody else having trouble loading Nokia Maps 2.0?
As I stated in my post a few pages back, you must be patient. It hangs for 30-45 seconds when you first click install, and the actual install process takes at least a few minutes. It's a big, big program.
Nice upgrade. Too bad it didn't come with Maps 2.0 installed (requiring the re-install), or better yet, UDP. Maybe next time. Too bad there's not an "easy sync" for applications. Something tells me that Apple will implement that.

I noticed the white background but I could swear that you are able to change the size of the numbers and the color of the background. Maybe I'm crazy....
