lol yup that's what i did ..went to my moms house they got 3 cpu with xp on it worked like a charm...still upset that they dont have a fix for vista!
I've been trying to install PC Suite on my laptop for a while now anticipating the update and it's been failing to update NSU. I'm lucky it worked without a charm this morning.
does anyone have a problem with the icon of google maps? The icon on the standby menu is the regular compass, but once you get into the application menu its the "default" icon with the "puzzle piece" looking icon. Anyone else experiencing this?
also, how can you tell on demand paging is included in this FW?

Well besides the fact that all of the press releases on the update so far have stated that Demand Paging is included. Take a look at how much RAM you have available at startup, it's around 95-100MB now instead of the 60-70MB we had before.
Wirelessly posted (The Eliteness: Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.2; U; Series60/3.1 NokiaN95_8GB-3/1.2.011 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 ) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413)
if Nokia was smart, they'd market this upgrade a little better. People shouldn't be wondering what terms like "demand paging" mean. Apple makes profit from firmware upgrades, and while I'm glad Nokia didn't follow suit, it sure could do a better job bringing awareness to it.

so did you update that baby ? what happend to the first one?
I updated my first N95-3 with the new firmware, but when it tried to boot up, it just flashed on and off at the Nokia screen. I coudn't revive it! Second time was a charm, all is well.
