It might be 75%. Its kind of hard to say exactly. The Battery Power monitor is not very user-friendly. I am translating a power rating bar without ticks into a %.
UPDATE: I found a different screen that tells me the exact number, its 74%
That's still pretty impressive. Not sure what is different about your configuration, but you can consider yourself lucky. Far above average!
I am considering purchasing the Saga strongly... but i also like the look of the Touch Pro - though the price is ridiculous, i think.
Can anybody give me a good reason that would justify the price difference? the major differences i see between the two devices i see, is higher rez screen (Touch Pro), and Touch flo3d. the memory amounts are very similar.
given the availability of 3rd party touch apps like PointUI, SPB Mobile Shell, Winterface and others, does the TouchPro really have anything truly compelling to offer over the Saga?
sidenote: does anyone know of a better media (audio and/video) player than WMP10? the only one i know of is CorePlayer.
I don't think there is a definitive answer to your question. It depends on what features are most important to YOU. Screen resolution? Screen size? Speed? Keyboard? Each phone has its strengths and weaknesses. For the Pro the biggest plus is the VGA resolution, as well as the active developer community behind HTC devices. For the Saga I think the biggest plus is the front facing keyboard. I'd suggest making your own weighted comparison of features.
Should have my Saga in hand Friday. Currently have the EnV. How do you transfer the data/contacts from the EnV to the Saga? Will i have to carry it to the VZ store?

Another option, if you use backup assistant with your EnV, is to copy/paste your contacts from the website into Microsoft Excel, change the formatting a little (put into several discrete columns, one for name, another column for each number type, Mobile, Home, etc.) so you can save as a .csv file and then use Outlook to import the .csv file into your Outlook Contacts. Then sync phone and Outlook.
It's a little involved but probably worth it if you live far away from a VZW store or if you loathe visiting them.
The Saga comes with everything you should need, if you download you contacts and info to computer and connect the Saga and sync to Saga from your computer.
Great idea, forgot about that program. I'll give it a shot and report back. Didn't ftouch sl have a sensitivity setting?
Edit: Ftouchsl Works very well. Had to exclude opera and SPB mobile shell. Now I have kinetic scrolling in outlook and other programs as well as the switching between mail, text and mms with finger gestures.
I've noticed mixed results with FTouchSL on this board. For some folks, it seems to work great, and in harmony with the mouse. Others haven't had the same luck. I tried it, and it killed my optical mouse, both in D-pad and pointer modes. However, the scrolling part worked extremely well. I'd love to be able to use the program, just not at the expense of the mouse, which I've become very accustomed too.
Is there an .exe file that can be excluded from FTouchSL that will allow the mouse to work? I tried all the ones I could find that might have fit the bill (gwes.exe, KeypadStatusIndicator.exe), and nothing seemed to work. Or perhaps there's another work-around I haven't thought of? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I also found the vertical scroll bar too skinny for fat fingers:
Vertical scrollbar width
Registry: HKLM\System\GWE
Change "cxVScr": 20 (it's pretty big with that, might tweak it down to 18)
I'm a windows mobile newb...Since there's no "run" option I've found, how do you do this?
On a separate topic, just how bad is the camera? It does NOT have auto-focus, right? I'm just wondering how bad it is at taking a close-up picture -- for instance, of a price sticker or a UPC code -- are close-up photos totally unreadable/blurry?
Has anyone been able to successfully use the i770 (Saga) as a blue tooth modem (aka DUN, tethering)? I don't believe that the BTModem.exe application works the same as it did on the i760.
So far, my searches on this topic have come up empty. Thoughts?
