DASH w/Windows Mobile 6.0 for Smartphone, original T-Mobile ROM.

I am confused regarding GPRS terminology and T-Mobile wasn't very helpful.

Essentially, I have a weather application that can be updated via WiFi or GRPS Internet (access point?) but not WAP. My T-Mobile phone supports WAP and I have full Internet access (I pay for the full plan which includes hotspots). Present Internet access is via WiFi or GPRS-EDGE.

Now, what the heck is the difference between GPRS WAP and GPRS Internet?

Since I have access to the Internet via T-Zones or via Opera Mobile. Do I need to configure my phone differently for GPRS Internet?

Present settings: (Settings | Connections | GPRS)

T-Mobile DATA (WAP Network, wap.voicestream.com)
T-Mobile Internet (The Internet, internet2.voicestream.com)
T-Mobile MMS (WAP network, wap.voicestream.com)

For my weather application (Handy Weather version 3.0), I selected "The Internet" but it refuses to work. Both T-Mobile and the OEM were not very helpful. T-Mobile had me check the above and I confirmed that "The Internet" was via internet2.voicestream.com.

Should I be setting it differently?
