    PC as bluetooth headset?

    Hi,

I've got a Moto RAZR V3. It supports bluetooth headset but not A2DP. My PC is running Windows Vista SP1 32bits. Is it possible to set up the PC to act as a bluetooth headset so that I can record audio from the phone through bluetooth? (Or even do so through a USB cable?)

    Thanks!

Does it support the Audio Gateway (or something similar) service? Something like Headset Gateway or Audio Gateway or something like that should do exactly that.

How do I tell that? What kind of software do I need?
I was hoping the PC could act as a bluetooth headset for the phone so that the phone would route its audio through the PC where it could be captured.

I installed a copy of BlueSoleil 6 from their website. After it finished crashing my PC, I was able to eventually get it set up. As far as I could tell it gives the PC an Advanced Audio service (I assume this is A2DP, which the original V3 does not support) but not a headset service.

A headset service is shown but greyed out for both the PC and the phone. From what I gathered from the help, BlueSoleil will connect to a bluetooth headset so that it can be used for playback/record or voip but doesn't give the PC a headset profile that could be connected to from the phone.

So I'm wondering if there's some other software that would do this or some way to do this through Vista's built in bluetooth services.

    Thanks!

Well, I don't know about BlueSoleil. I tried it once with a cheap dongle from China and I couldn't get my PC to provide any services. Now, I just use KDE's built-in Bluetooth server.

Nevertheless, are you trying to record calls? Is that it?
