That program is meant for GSM phones....... There at this time is not a tool out there that can completely backup the K1M and should you opt to flash away from the current firmware I'm willing to bet you won't be going back....... because there is no monster flash for koodo or as far as I know even a leaked upgrade file........ have you upgraded the phone at all? if not try using MSU to see if an upgrade is available. don't do the upgrade but let MSU download it and while keeping the program open go find the flash file stored on the computer make a copy of it and save it. You should at least then be able to restore the firmware to nearly the original state...... as for all the files on the phone I would advise a combo of bit pim, P2K commander, and QPST EFS reader. saving any and all files you possibly can........ although be for warned the alltel firmware does not use java games and if your still using telus/koodo network you will have absolutely no games/apps at all for the phone.
If you don't understand what I say thats YOUR problem not mine!!!! With that said unless you know what you are talking about don't talk to me.

I havent touched the phone, I am holding out to somehow save a backup or somehow get my hands on a firmware for a safe relieve incase something happens. I dont want to endup having a brick here... thats all...

I have found this site here and I have followed it step by step up to the point of wehre it says to flash the phone... Now I am just sitting here debating on flashing or not.... That includes backing up files in PSt Qpst, Radiocomm, P2kseem... the only think that I couldnt get is the BitPim as my phone didnt display the10.key file or the nvm.seem/cdma_sec file.... The guid however siad it wasnt a big necessity tho....

I plan on using a generic Moto monster not the Alltel monster as I hear its far less buggy over the alltel...

Koodo doesnt have java games in it, only the MP3 player which i wont be using because of the lame fact of the phone only have the 32 megs onboard and not the optional memory card slot....

I havent checked the "MSU" I am guessing thats on the motorola web site? Seeing how the phones ahvent been out long I doubt there is a update listed....

10.key file is needed however easy to get a copy of online if you don't find it..... as for the other one it is needed no matter what.... the only way around it is to get a copy of your phones 01d2 seem. either one works. and with the K1M you will have to just use the 01d2 seem file.......

and for MSU it's quite possible that they have an update..... although thats dependant on your carrier..... none the less unless you manage to find someone who either has or can get the monster flash for you you may not be able to restore your phone to it's current state..... you may be able to get it so that it's very close but not quite what you want. hence the reason I advice that you back up the phones entire file system tree as best you can and keep note of the things you cant back up. (where they were and what they are) so as to preserve the file system structure so that you would be able to flash an upgrade and be able to restore/remove whatever you need to make it bassically the same as before. wait they have no apps at all? I have my krzr on a telus firmware.... it uses java........ as for the K1M it should have a memory card slot in it. It's a standard feature of the K1M........ as for the media player if that uses java then the phones apps and games also use java.
