So if I understand this whole open network metropcs thing, they will flash the ocean(PN-810) so that calls and txt work but they don't guarantee web to work? Is their anyway to get the web working, is it just a matter of settings?

Correct, I believe it's the matter of settings. But because Helio uses 3g and MetroPCS does not, I was assuming that we cannot use web at all.

    Hopefully someone proves me wrong.

I was reading somewhere that metropcs was upgrading to 3G in the near future but I don't know how factual that is.

Does anyone have anything further on this? I have my Ocean on Metro PCS with voice and text but I am going to get rid of it if I can't picture mail.

Pretty sure you can modify the settings using "PST for Pantech (1.05)" at:

Network on... peetre locked his page tho. ;P

##1122 NGB settings are reset by the cwconfiguration.ini file, now that that file is edited I've got a non-evdo network. I don't know if MetroPCS has evdo here in Florida, is it legal for someone to give me the shared secrets?

I had to access the EFS, you can only get temporary access by using the 16 Digit pass... Justinb let me know about the access and then I went in and edited the configuration for the browser... I think mostly, I had to go in there and change the port.

It's not opening the .dd files from myhelioapps.com tho, and AIM and MMS are still not working yet.

you need to get youre msl or spc watever they call it . you can call helio and ask for it or get cdma workshop and read it then change it to 000000. you need to search over at the criket forum and mobilefiles.com

the 16 number to unlock it is 7341B6CDCFFA9692
