No, iPhone combo plan is REQUIRED for Visual Voicemail. In fact, when we convert your account from a regular plan to an iPhone plan, you will lose any saved voicemails. As well, your VM retrieval number changes. It's a whole different service that requires different provisioning on the backend. One could use Spinvox Voicemail to SMS feature @ $15 / month though.

That does change things. I was planning on getting a fido voiceplan with unlimited incoming then slap on the $50 flex data plan, and hopefully add Visual Voicemail onto that. Does this not work now? That would really be a shame...

My sister has city fido.. what are the rules that apply to the iphone upgrade? Its on a multi line account btw ( 2 city fido ).. will she have to pay the $6.95 SAF if she upgrades?

City Fido = if a customer is not paying the $6.95 SAF they are NEVER NEVER eligible for any hardware upgrade at renewal prices...to be eligible, they must remove the $6.95 discount via CS before proceeding to do the upgrade.

SOL means "sh*t out of luck". Means you can't renew your 3 year contract if you're not HUP and you can't get the iphone until you're eligible.

how do I know my HUP? other then that that sucks?

So you saying there is no way, at any price, to add visual voicemail without using those crappy iPhone plans?

I was going to make my own plan with the 30/300 and 45$ business voice plan and then pay for the iphone 20 dollar bundle pack and add visual voicemail.

Is any of this possible? Possible to get vis voicemail as i mentioned? Possible to use iPhone bundles on non iphone plans?
