Here in Stoney Creek no line ups... Went there at 8 and I was the first and only one til about 8:30 where two other people joined me... lol

Got it from Wireless wave and the nearby Rogers had about 4 people at the counter.. The telephone booth has them too but no people...

Has anyone successfully activated the iphone yet? itunes is VERY slow and hasn't even brought up the activation tabs for me yet (been over an hour now). I called CS and they said it may take a few hours. The store was unable to activate.

Here is some usefull info for those of you who are still on hold or will call later:

i) Call Retentions instead of regular CSR (1-888-259-3436) and pick Option 2 (deactivate my account). Dont worry they wont deactivate anything, its just a shortcut to get to Retentions and avoid the 1+hrs hold times!

ii) Be courteous and polite, they will help.

iii) Anyone looking for a monthly bill credit or any type of extra discount is sh*t out of luck! I was told that all CSRs/Retentions folks got clear instructions to remove any credits and not apply any credits to customer accounts who are switching to the iPhone. So your best bet is to just stick with your current retentions plan and be happy. You can keep all your grandfathered plans, etc.

iv) Same goes for the price of the phone, they cannot change what the system tells them, whatever tier you fall into, thats what you pay.

v) Good news, they WILL apply whatever Fido dollars you might have towards the phone purchase price!

vi) DATA OPTION: I was told that my $30/6GB data plan is active immediately and replaces my old $30/300mb....i can go crazy with my grey market 3G phone and i wont get dinged at all!!! I asked CSR to confirm with his manager/supervisor and he did, saying I should have no issues what so ever using the 6GB data...it would work the same as my old $30/300mb.
