not even i was looking at the specs for it! its really amazing! the gsm version is soon to be out! check out the htc website! im just saying cus i know a lot of you complain about the data on rogers well here is your next alternative to them! i think this phone has a lot to offer.. also the diamond does not have a built in battery like the i-phone. also the camera is so much better on it! its 3.2 mp. i know its not that great of a camera but it does have more functionality!!! just read the performance features of the diamond. i think its really captivating....grrr wish i did not buy my curve a month ago lol!! oh well w.e. everyone is entitled to their own opinion of each phone!!
Most reports say the surfing on it sucks (and the navigation is mediocre).
Plus, it ain't an iPod of course.

So, if the cx's MSF is $30 or more and they resign a 3yr commitment, the HUP pricing will be as follows:
Cx can find out what tier your in by calling in (tiers based on revenue generated on account since last HUP). Adding a data plan is optional but recommended. Customer can go on any voice only plan and add on a data service package (30$ for 300mb etc) or go with one of the iphone voice and data plans. There will be no term and no DECF for data - so can be removed at any time without penalty.
If in the 3yr term cx decides to downgrade their plan with a msf lower than $30, we will ask for the $50 dollars credit back. Customer will need to be advised of this prior to processing a HUP and will be quality impacting.
MSF= the monthly service fee base plan
so if you have: $35 mega incoming+15 value pack+30data + 6.95 SAf + 0.50 911 fee, the msf is the $35 only(no tax) ...
Your info contradicts itself with regards to the $30. Which is it? $30 or more, or more than $30?
This is important for those with an MSF amount of exactly $30 (not including value packs, extras fees or taxes).
Also, do you know if this applies to Fido as well?
screw rogers!! come over to telus and see the new phone they are launching next friday!! check out the telus website!!! htc diamond!!! so much better than the i-phone!!!
if you havent noticed this thread is full of iphone fans. we'd all like to say screw rogers and go to telus but they cannot support the iphone.
the touch diamond is a great phone. and big reason i think is the amount of work htc went through to really try and hide WM. unfortunately after using an htc tytn for a year and an iphone for some time i cannot stand WM anymore.

if we have a MSF of less than $30 are there any choices at all?
Rogers Wireless (I know but what other choice do I have?)

Sure there may be some phone that hardware wise will beat the iPhone, but these "iPhone Killers" are missing the point. it's the user interface and the OS that these guys are failing to surpass, hell, they aren't even coming close to the sheer genius and innovation that apple has put into the whole experience.
The iphone has a cheap camera, but it has amazing photo management to make sharing them easy as pie.
seemless integration to an online suite of products in MobileMe is beyond what these new phones are lacking as well.
iTunes, Apple has made it so easy for you to spend your money.
AppStore, I might start buying software again (I haven't done that in a while)
While these new samsung and HTC phones might be cool, they just don't offer the same experience.
And how does affect corporate customers, whose price plan is nowhere near $30?
Would adding the $30 (or more) data plan to a voice plan mean the MSF is over $30/month?

The Diamond is however, a step in the right direction for HTC. With the amount of skinning they've done on the Diamond to cover up WM 6.1, even a newbie can use WM with ease.
Thanks. This is a very important point if true, cuz the public Rogers website and the emails from Rogers brass to members here keep mixing this up then, as they continue to say "more than $30" or "over $30".

So the DSP package will be added month-to-month, not on a term?
If the customer takes 3 months unlimited, I assume there will be a $100 DECF?
Hmmm... Sounds like $249/349 for you, according to O_ssie.

Do you even want to sign a data contract?
O_ssie, can you even sign a data contract if you wanted to, if it wasn't one of the combined plans? ie. Are ALL non-combined plans optional data, and can't be part of the contract?
