Yeah, I remember Fido used to have that.. at least you can still negotiate with Rogers so that they can throw it into your plan for free.

Any news yet about Fido plans? Hopefully they have the standard Fido 7pm-8am evenings, and not the Rogers standard 9pm-7am?

i.Fido is usually monitoring this forum often...

i.Fido, please tell me that there is a $30 unlimited data somewhere...

I knew that the $30 unlimited was not real even though everyone believed the rumour. I think the $30 unlimited will happen down the road.. I say after 1 year after iphone's julyth debut.
Rogers knows they are going to get ppl to sign up so why give a good data plan.

I must say that the $60 iphone plan isn't that bad.. but everyone was believing this $30 unlimited data plan and now are disappointed.

For Winnipeg users and MTS internet users this is the best option if you want a ton of wifi spots:

I do not think that MTS will be able to tell the difference between laptop or iphone. I`m thinking of doing this with a 1st gen....

just to recap 3 year term, low data, high ecf + high cost of ownership. Rogers you make it so easy to leave LOL. The 3g iPhone is just not worth it.

    For $67:

    - no call display
    - evenings starting at 9pm
    - 75 txt messages

    This is terrible.

And is there any word on whether the data that is included in these plans are "surf and email only"? Will any of the other iphone apps be able to use this data? There's really no point in getting the iphone if it's limited to surfing and email only.

Partially it's because MTS has the edge on WiFi spots here. They are in all public libraries and about 3 dozen restaurants, etc. If you subscribe to MTS internet, it's $1.50 an hour, billed per minute. Quite the deal.

Also, Winnipeg's population is only 700,000 people. Calgary is 1.1 million.

Will be raw data....to be used for anything. I feel bad for the suckers who will actually sign up for these monstrosities that Rogers call iPhone plans.

the $60 plan needs a bit more to be worth it. maybe 250-300mins and 200txts or something like that.

the way they are, just not worth the premium price.

Uh, no it doesn't. This is what Rogers is offering. Take it, or go elsewhere. It's not like the iPhone is a need for society - just either bend over and take it in the pocket, or don't get the iPhone.
