i'm guessing the biggest offenders were the eva mendes pictures where she was strategically nude, yet not showing anything?
A totally naked butt = not showing anything? lol
As for why the entire posts were removed, I'm guessing it is because mods volunteer their time and it takes much less time to delete an offending post than to sift through IMG tags to find the specific offending images.
Here are the guidelines we had in the Motorola Girlie Wallpaper thread, and they seemed to work pretty well. Mods: feel free to re-use for this thread and for the Voyager wallpaper thread if you think such guidelines would be helpful. They are a little more specific than the subjective "safe for work", "family friendly" definitions.
------------------------------
Wallpapers are good as long as everything is fully clothed. This includes the rear (no thongs), the breasts (not overly sexy, as in wearing strings to cover the nipples or covering bare breasts with their hands/arms..no bare breast shots at all, no matter how they're covered. Use good judgment), and all genitals, male and female. Even some stuff allowed in Victoria's Secret wouldn't be permitted on here. Failure to follow these rules will get you banned, no questions asked.
------------------------------
hopefully this is more suitable for the forum, direct link to full size, and (hopefully) all questionable images have been removed, but are available @ link in sig.
just odd, it cant be shown in a private forum, but it's on display on billboards and signs... in public.... the EXACT same picture.

like i said... laziness. it's not that hard to right click a picture, get the file name, and ctrl+f, delete.
a moderators job is more than just enforcing the rules. the users make up this community, and the ad revenue, it's their job to also help out, in addition to satisfying vendors with appropriate content in the forums.
fyi i am admitting fault to my post content, i chose to post it, and i'm sure it infringes on the rules (though i have yet to see them) but in my defense, i havent posted anything worse than some of the stuff i've already seen here on this forum, so maybe the lack of moderation is leading users into believing the rules are a little more relaxed than what they really are.
my apologies if i offended anyone, as i'm sure the post was reported by a forum user.
seems mobilepark.eu has a bunch now too just browsing getting some ideas...

I think the guidelines are fair... this isn't a "private" system as was described earlier. It is a public forum where anyone of all age groups can view material without registering. Advertisers would be less likely to support the site if it became less family-friendly.
And no offense to newer users or infrequent contributors who have a negative opinion on the moderation here, but the site has been here for many years and has served the community well. Nothing is stopping anyone from hosting material themselves that would not be acceptable here.

i understand that it's a public forum and fully support the removal of indecent photos. but why delete the other 140+ pics?
also, I may be a new poster but I am a longtime lurker. I just had one of my threads closed with no explanation that I am certain was not a repost and most definitely did not violate any rules (entitled "post pictures of your dare!") Also, another thread was inexplicably deleted a few days ago concerning those who'd gotten their Dare before their 2-year contract was up. I was told by another mod that "It was removed because people were asking and talking about ways to "force" Verizon in giving them a discounted price, even though their contract is not up."
I don't remember any posts to that effect since most were anecdotal and we can't really force Verizon to do anything...but even if that were the case, again why not just delete those posts, rather than the entire thread?
i agree that moderation here is to strict and so what if its a "family" site no one is telling kids to go to this site
You haven't even been a member here long enough to make a fair judgement of how strict the mods on HoFo can be. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with the general sentiment of strictness, as I have had my issues with at least one mod in the past, but you certainly aren't the person to make a justified observation about it.
As for your laughable statement about nobody "telling kids to go to this site," are you joking? It's an open forum to people of all ages. Of course teenagers, usually being the most technically literate group out there, are going to flock here to learn new ways to play with their toys.

Here's one. There are more throughout the Voyager Wallpaper thread and you can follow the link in my sig and search through that thread for some others, as well.
Let us get back to dressing our phone screens. We know that NSFW images should be just be posted as URL's and all other wallpapers can be posted as IMG's.
