OMG!!! I was just thinking of switching over to Sprint this summer when I'm eligible for upgrade to get a better smartphone than my 7100i, but this will definitely make me stay with iDEN! Thanks for the info!!

I just posted this in the new phone sticky thread but I thought it was worthy of it's own thread.
According to BlackberryNews.com, it looks like Blackberry will be launching an iDEN version of the Curve, the Blackberry 8350. It will have 802.11b/g and possibly launch with OS version 4.6.1. Here's a link and a pic.

I hardly ever post in the Nextel or Sprint forums so don't flame me if there's a thread on this already. I did a search and didn't find anything.

That's a serious upgrade to the 7100i. Can't wait to see it in the marketplace.

This is good news, I can ditch my bb and nextel and not be a two phone geek

I was gonna say. That looks like a Photoshopped version of the Sprint Curve.Originally Posted by Blown Z

I need this BB to buck the trend and release early. I'm tired of carrying around a Nextel and BB.
With the Everything plans, Nextel could make a killing attracting new customers and keeping some existing ones with this badboy.
I hope Sprint doesn't foul this up for the remaining loyal iden customers.
The release of an iDEN Curve would be welcome with open arms by the Nextel gang. I hope they don't screw it up!

I'm also dying to get rid of a phone. I'm even considering ditching the 8830 to go back to my 7520. This would be a god send.
My question about this phone is this, How can you get excited about a phone that is very internet oriented that will be running on a very slow network? I know the phone will have wi-fi, however how ofter will you have a wi-fi signal when you want it or need it? To me it's like having a Lamborghini in rush hour traffic.

Typical PDA's are very internet oriented, however, the Blackberry's forte is its email capabilities which deliver very reliably over the iden network. Email is the main priority to many Blackberry business users.
I want a hybrid blackberry so I can get rid of my mogul and ic902.
Boost mobile = worst thing for nextel customers!
= MY Ebay Feedback!!
that would be nice but who know's when will it happenOriginally Posted by Chaoss
