    How much data does streaming Sirius use?

    So I am considering streaming Sirius using this app:
    http://www.geekstoolbox.com/

    As discussed in this fantastic tutorial:
    http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1305579

    How much data will that use? Say I stream every day for a few hours while at work- would I be raising red flags for using too much data?

    32kbps for the low quality stream.
    64kbps for the "premium" if I'm not mistaken.
    do the math:
    32000 bits per second
    x8 = 4000 Bytes per second
    x60 = 240000 Bytes per min
    x60 = 14400000 Bytes per hour
    14.4 MB/hour (14.4 Megabytes per hour)

    3 hours per day = 42.2MB per day
    *20 days (5 work days per week/4 weeks) = 864 MB.

    I think that's OK to do. I don't know what Sprint's policy is on data use, but on AT&T you're fine as longs as you're under a few Gigabytes per month.

    Wow, that's less data than I thought it used. Excellent. Thanks for the info!

    I use that app and it works well. Premium is 128k. It is well worth the $3/mo extra.

    I am on Sprint and i also use this application often. But I don't use the premium.

    I have never had a problem with Sprint regarding usage.

    Premium is actually 128Kb/s. If you were to use it about 7 hours a day, during weekdays, count on a usage in the 6GB range.

    I would stick to standard if you could. Only use premium when you really need it.
    Apparently I was mistaken, I couldn't remember what bit rate premium was. So if you use my math above and just multiply by 4x, then you have the usage for premium.
