Way to remove "my number" from Blackberry

I'm selling a Blackberry and would like to remove the old number showing as "my number" on the phone. Is there a way to do this, or will it automatically change when the new user gets the phone registered?

    Thanks,

    Mark

If you restore or do a full erase of your BlackBerry after switching to a new device I believe it will get rid of it.

a full wipe was done on the phone but it's still there. What's the easiest way to do another full erase to check that?

It took a call to VZW to find out the necessary code. Once I spoke with an operator and found out the method....I was able to change the # to a false number. When the new owner gets the phone, his number will go in when they program the phone.

I believe it was ##0000, but it may've been more zeroes. The number was listed right at the top of the screen that came up, so just typed a bunch of 8's and saved it.
