    Sometimes when I receive a package I have to pay some shipping fees to the delivery company shipping the package. Does such a scenario apply here?
    Is it possible to do a pickup from a Roger's store?

    Short Answer: Definately NO, for both of those questions!

    Long Answer:
    1) Fees only apply to import packages comming from outside the country where there is a duty/brokerage fee! OR if its a COD (collect on delivery) package. All Fido/Rogers phones are shipped free of charge to the customer

    2) Rogers/Fido wont ship to store for pickup, as that defeats the purpose of offloading extra work from their stores and actually creates a whole bunch of work for the employees...

    I ordered Saturday first thing in the AM (9AM) and there is still no tracking number available according to Rogers. I know my account was activated though because I added the new account # to my existing online account and it went in fine and had a phone # assigned to the account as well.

    Nope. The UPS CSR even told me that it probably wouldn't arrive until tomorrow... and then it arrived 5 minutes later.

    BTW, if you call UPS and check their automated voicemail system, it does say that the status may not change before delivery.

    This is very true, I've received a package before the tracking number ever even worked to show Billing Received status.

    I was going to call Rogers to get the tracking #, but couldn't be bothered. But then they called *me* with the tracking #. Strange...

    So I checked and UPS says it's at Mount Hope as of 4:45 this morning (not In Transit). I hope it comes, because Rogers has changed my plan and now my Blackberry doesn't work anymore.

    Probably cuz you told the rep you wanted to go to the $30 data plan for iPhone.
    Happened to my girlfriend as well.

    I never told the rep what plan I wanted to go to so my BB worked all weekend.

    You're right. I ordered Friday, so they kept my BB active over the weekend and actually remembered to change over the plan on the anticipated day of delivery. And they actually called me back to confirm.
