I chose the Rebel Serpent over the Neo because of that ridiculous paper-thin plastic covering that supposedly is a biatch to put on and line up.

The Rebel Serpent looks kick-arse!

Just FYI, the Neo's membrane is cake to put on. I agree that wasn't the case early on as I struggled with the fist one I received. Either I'm just better at it or they have changed the material slightly from the initial run but I just got one and it went on perfectly in 15 seconds. I love it as it provides a more airtight seal and prevents any really small specks to get past it.

If you have a white iPhone, be prepared for some watermarks.

Use baby powder -- you'll be set!

It's a good case, I don't like the entire bottom being open though.

Yes I have the Rebel Serpent. I watched a ton of YouTube reviews and the consensus was that the membrane was a PIA to put on and take off. Mostly put on. Itsmemorpheous even ripped the membrane during the review trying to put it on.

It was a close race between the Neo and the Serpent. I went with the black Serpent.

actually, it was the neo membrane that broke, and not the capsule... The capsule is strong.. The Neo membrane is almost paper thin.

Things I like:
1) It's slim and feels barely there.
2) It doesn't scratch the phone, including the chrome bezel.
3) It looks great
4) The case itself doesn't scratch up. It actually seems almost scratch proof. It still looks brand new after about a month of use.
5) It's cheaper than most. $20 or $30 for a 2-pack.
6) Texture is matte. It also doesn't feel slick or oily no matter how much I handle it like some smoother plastic cases do.

Other cases I liked:
1) Power support air jacket (like the GoGo, but clear.) Sold at the apple store. The con on this one is that it scratches up very quickly (soft plastic). Feels a bit oily from hands after a while. But otherwise No complaints.
2) Speck candy shell. My favorite full cover case. (A) leaves minor scuffs on the bezzel at the bottom of the phone (flixible part). (B) Feels oily from hands after a while (gotta clean it.) (C) bulky. (D) Buttons are harder to press.
3) Seidio Innocase II. I loved this. Close to the GoGo but full coverage. But it scratched up my iPhone 3G on the bezel after only 2 days.

I have bought over 15 different cases for iPhone 3G and this is the first one I'm 100% happy with.
It's also a great one for those people who insist on going bare. Get one of these to add a little color or style to your phone.

I can't recommend enough that people at least try the GoGo. I know it isn't full coverage, so if that's what you're after this won't work. But it offers great protection with minimal operation impact and it looks very nice. Comes in colors too.

This looks like a COZIP OEM to me. I hope not though, 'cos the cozip case scratched the chrome on my 1st gen iPhone.

So am I the only one who got scratches on the chrome from the Seidio Innocase II?
Not just a little, but a bunch of scratches with just a week of use.
I love that case but quit using it because of this very reason.

The Candyshell has been great. Only minor scuffing on the bottom part of the bezel because the case flexes there a lot (and dust probably gets in there a lot.) Extremely minor over a very long period of use.

I sold a bunch of my cases, but here are 4 in my lineup. I have a crapload more that I want nothing to do with so I didnt bother taking pics.

I am happy with all of them, but like the Capsule Neo the most.

I bought the Black Rebel Serpent and also bought the hard plastic piece in white for alternate color option. The case was 26.99 and the hard plastic piece was 4.99, sold as an add on in 4 or 5 different colors. Easy to put on, seems to be very protective and I love the charging port cover to keep dust out.
