    How can they know??

I just wanted to know if there is anyway for Sprint or any other carrier to know if you are using your PDA (Pocket PC) as a modem?

I have a Sprint Pocket PC 6700 and am able to browse the internet freely no additional charges, but if I wish to connect to the internet using my phone as a Modem Sprint wants to charge me $15/month? Are they crazy at 115kb/s its not worth it at all, but then I began to ask "How will they Know?"

If anyone has an answer to this I would be very interested to know.
    Thanks

how on earth are you getting quoted 15/mo? Its 39.99/mo for PAM!

But honestly, if you abuse it, they'll red flag you... but otherwise, they have no real way of knowing.

I got my plan 4 years ago, 2000 anytime minutes and unlimited internet access and minutes are shared and all it costs me $130/month, but to use my PDA as a modem its that 15/mo. and all it gets me is 115/mbps (mega BITS)HAAA! But still how would they know if I'm even abusing it. How can they flag it??

Use over 5 GB/mo and they might take a look at you. Maybe, maybe not. No cap on regular phone lines yet but 5 GB seems to be their artificial limit to start paying attention. Use like 5 TB/mo, and they'll start flagging you for sure.
