I think the best tip is not to update the phone's firmware unless you absolutely have to have certain features or the update has fixes you need. Given the latest issues with 4.3.0 and even 4.0, I'll be waiting about 3-6 months before updating.

i am assuming you are jailbroken.

    1) Add this repo to cydia: http://repo.insanelyi.com
    2) Search for TetherMe
    3) Reboot
    4) Go to Settings>General>Network>Internet Tethering> And flip the switch
    5) Connect your iPhone to your Mac via USB or Bluetooth

Not sure if this works for PC. If it doesn't MiWi is another good option (in Cydia)

Have you been leaving your wifi on? Bluetooth on?

Also I have noticed that alot of people don't know about the muti-tasking feature (click the home button twice) and close the apps that are running in the background.

It's not a bad idea to have auto brightness for the screen because that does waste battery as well.

Was wondering if there was a way to get my Verizon Iphone4 to get it's contact picture to go full screen when someone calls me? It only appears in the upper corner of the screen. I've tried a picture I took with the phone and ones from Facebook and ones that had been texted to me.

Turn off syncing in Facebook and use this app. It's 1.99 but I think it's worth every penny. It's called Friend Sync. Heres a link http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/frien...288348190?mt=8

The following tips and tricks are here for you dear.
    1. Scroll to top: - Tapping the status bar (the bar at the top with the clock) will make scrollable content scroll to the top. It comes in handy in situations like when you’ve scrolled down a long web page or mail message and you quickly need to get back to the top.
    2. Screenshots: - Simultaneously press the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons to take a screenshot of your current screen. You’ll hear a camera shutter sound, your screen will flash white, and then the screenshot will appear in the “Saved Photos” library of the Photos app.
    3. Register your Wi-Fi:- Skyhook WPS is the service that, via Wi-Fi, enables your iPhone and iPod touch to locate where you are if GPS isn’t available. It generally gets you more accuracy than the cell tower triangulation method.

I'm a bit late into this thread, but there is a dedicated site listing tips and tricks for the iPhone (and various other phones). Sometimes its easier just to look there rather than read through pages of forum posts

    Phone Tips and Tricks

    Hope it helps...

if you want to create folders for photos or extra playlist, create them on your copmuter first and add content to them. The important part is that you MUST add content to them, an empty folder/playlist will not appear on the iPhone.

From time to time you may find yourself running out of available storage on your iOS device. As video files consume a large volume of storage it is appropriate to consider deleting them from the device to make way for new content.

Following these instructions will permanently remove the video in question from your device. Please make sure you have a backup of the content prior to undertaking this process.

There are a couple of ways you can remove the video content from your iOS device without using a computer.

The first way is to launch the Video app and tap and hold the content you wish to delete until you see the ‘x’ appear in the top left hand corner a

To use more features people should use newer version of iOS. iOS local notifications are new for apple and iOS, these notification caveat client of Determined event in the background without use of server. UITableViews are a unrebutted part of iOS and these both are vastly useful and easy to customize.
