Motorola Software update problem

It won't install the newest version. It tried to update to the latest version .. when it goes to install I get Can not use command file .\ Check_Hotfix_for_Vista.vbs Windows does not have a program associated to run with it. I am prett sure it is a usb error. I have all the updates. Any way to work around this

Do you have any antivirus software installed? If so, then go in it and turn off the script blocking.

thank you for response. I use Kaspersky Anti virus. I shut it down completely and try to install but get the same thing.Any other idea's?

It's looking for hotfix KB941600 -- a notoriously EVIL and dangerous USB 'fix'. I get the message, and I'm not even ON Vista. It's an XP machine!

extract the files to your desktop and just run the installer

Thank you for your response. I tried it and it don't work for me. get the same thing. It still looks for the hotfix.

I got the same problem. I extracted the file manually and then extracted the file again. I ran the .msi file and it seems to be working
