If this release was to only close the loopholes in SIS signing, why only for the -1? Is Nokia that stupid to not release -2, -3, and -4 updates as well?

They don't care. Maybe the -2 will get one just because in the larger scheme of things people actually own that phone. What we Americans do over here is like some kind of amusement to them.

I put v.30 on my N95-1 (before I sold it) and it was an awesome improvement. I had been running v.12 or something like that. Very big bump in general performance, auto-rotation, plus some other goodies.

The real big jump was 12 to 20. I don't know how much happened between 20 and 30 since I sold it by then.
