Works like a charm for me. I just made sure that the first time I did it that I was outside, opened BB Maps first, let it get a lock, then opened Google Maps (don't close BB Maps) and let Google Maps get a lock.

Now I get a lock using Google Maps every time within 6 or 7 seconds.

Did you only have to open BB Maps the first time to get Google to work or is that everytime you want to use Google you have to open BB Maps first?

I've tried everything and still can't get Google Maps to work with the GPS on my Tour. Any other suggestions? BB Maps works fine, but I want it to work with Google Maps.

I'm having the same issue you are.

I have had issues using Google Maps with the GPS. There are times when re-launching Google Maps will make it work, maybe a few re-launches. And there are times when a battery pull is needed.

I have had many different applications installed and removed so unless I rebuild to the base I will never figure this one out. I can live with Google Maps as is for now even if the GPS is not working. The cell tower triangulation to a few hundred meters radius is good enough for what I use it for.

WeatherEye has been updated to version 2, it adds some nice visual upgrades and maps, it's a little slower than the previous version but still a very nice, free weather app.

Here are some cool programs i've put on it (all free unless indicated):

AutoLock i used to use this, but now I use AutoStandby

AutoStandby This is a must have program, it vastly improves battery life. definitely worth the $5.

Viigo use this if you like RSS feeds.

Vlingo pretty good voice recognition program, i use it to text people when i drive.

Weatherbug Direct this puts two icons on your home screen, one that shows current temp, and one that shows the forecast.

Beyond411 great program to find businesses, and it works with GPS

Nav4all I haven't used this much...lots of options, turn by turn voice directions.

Google Maps obviously...

GetItBack link goes to the berry review page. this program is awesome if you ever lose your phone. it's amazing what you can do. probably worth the $10 investment.

hmm, that's strange. when i upgraded to 5.0 it locks almost instantly.
