If you mod your phone to the WM 6.1 image the SMS is already threaded..

    a bit OT

I've tried a couple different IM apps on my Q9c, Palringo was one, and I don't recall the name of the other. They seem to run fine, for a minute. But the phone eventually resets itself, generally within about 10 minutes of starting the app.

Anyone run into this before? Any fix?

Nope. Never experienced it. Have you tried the IM app for WM that AOL released a couple weeks back?

These folks have a bunch of cool looking software including an SMS threader that I haven't yet tried, but will soon, and a few different overlay products for Windows Mobile that aim to make it a little more finger friendly.

So right now I'm going to check out SMS-Chat and Winterface. I'll report back in due course.
So as I mentioned in the other thread, the SMS threader works pretty well and I like the interface. Don't know if it's worth 20 bucks to me though.

Winterface on the other hand, the WM overlay product, was not that great. It was difficult to get it started, was way too iPhoneish (I hate that...you can make a touchscreen interface without it being like the iPhone) and worst of all it absolutely murdered my battery.

Mod Note: Given the surge in smartphone popularity, I'm sticking this thread.

    A great idea Lance.

I should add about the SMS threader above, SMS Chat, ate my battery up pretty good today while I was texting people talking smack about the Bears losing...and then having them talk smack back about my Colts losing. Anyway, it also chewed up my battery so use it first before you buy it because it might be too much of an annoyance for you.

For those running WM 6.1, NRG Chome weather is pretty cool on the sliding panels:

Us Cell says the 6800 can't be upgraded past 4GB memory micro SD card, anyone know if this is really true or not? Tried more?

I thought I remember someone saying that they were using an 8GB card...can't remember exactly though. I'm currently using a 4GB card.

Does that seven service work well? I'm tempted to try it.

Seven is still in beta as far as I know and free at the moment. It's worth a shot certainly for the price...

EDIT: I use Microsoft DP amd mal2web instead.
