The brotherhood of cell phone users ended because everyone thinks they have the 'best carrier' or the 'best phone' or the 'best plan'. If the users would stay in their respective forums, this wouldn't be an issue.

I still made a suggestion and answered the question, but also pointed out that (especially seeing as USCC has never had the SMT-5800) the individual would be better served by the Verizon forum (where there may be more SMT-5800 users). If the question had been a generic question about WinMo, it would've been different.

I don't go into the T-mobile forum asking questions about my CDMA Touch Pro either.

But Droobie actually did give you an answer via the freewarepocketpc.net link. I've looked at that site before and it has a lot of fun stuff that you may or may not be interested in. Hopefully if you do check it out you'll find some useful apps there

Freewarepocketpc is like porn for WinMo folks. I've spent hours there going through pages and pages of apps.

I'm hoping the Windows Mobile Marketplace is going to be good. There will still be use for these sites just because not everything will be on Skymarket, but it should still be interesting.

Can I please stay and play??? I don't have the best of ANYTHING... honest, I REALLY don't.
I'm just interested in all I can learn about the WinMo world, and by golly I like this group.
All I did was get the best phone I could for the least amount of cash from a Carrier that gave decent reception in my area, and only charged an arm and half a leg.... well they did get the rest of the leg with all the extra charges.
So don't hold Verizon against me... I like the good old cell phone brotherhood!

    Couple questions...
How long do you think it will take MS to get Skymarket up and running? They are losing a lot of the Smartphone market and have a some catching up to do!
Do you think they will close the door on pre WinMo 7 software and just "move forward"?

Anyone is welcome to pop in here and hang out. I've nothing wrong with that at all. Several of us have either had other carriers or do.

Aside from carrier and phone model nuances, Winmo is Winmo.

Getting back to the main purpose of this thread:

Microsoft MyPhone is now available. It works like MyContactsBackup, and can backup your phonebook, messages, documents, and photos. It is free to download and use. You will need a Windows Live ID to use the service, which is, of course, also free.

It supports any phone running WinMo 6 or above. Sorry, original Moto Q users.

Just visit the link below, and enter your phone number to be sent the download link.

I have phone numbers that no-one else should have. that would stop me from using this sort of thing.

Here is a direct download for PocketSand. I freaking love that game

Here is a direct download to the WM Pro version of Beejive, a freaking awesome IM program. I'd strongly suggest reading about it at their site, http://www.beejive.com/winmo/ if you want to know more about it. I use Beejive on my 8130 and freaking love it.

Sensorlock. It uses the accelerometer to lock the touchscreen. Interesting.

    **removed**

Lightsaber app using the accelerometer. Need I say more?*

*apparently I do. How about "I removed the link because it didn't work with my 6850" WTFBBQ mang?

I would like to go on the record saying that I was wrong.

    That's to the app.

That's to the .NET update you need to be able to run it.

    It was worth it

May end up having to redo them again. Thinking about switching off my 8130 and using my 8330 in it's place. But then I'm looking at two QWERTY phones. Not ideal IMO
