My corporate 3-year term expired a few months ago, and just now I tried to renew it over for the phone for an additional 3 years with the following conditions:

    - Same price for a 3 year contract ($18 + $5)
    - 16GB iPhone for a 3-year price of $299 (and then sell it)

First, the rep said I needed a data plan on my iPhone because of how people got $1000 bills, etc. I told him Fido didn't tell me I needed one when I asked for the exact same thing 6 months ago and he dropped the claim.

Next, he said the phone would be $499 because I am not a new customer. I told him Fido sold me the phone for the 'new customer rate'. He said that's not available. When I told him I'm better off at just closing my account and signing up again, he didn't say much, and I had to hang up.

What gives? I am not asking for a lot... in fact, I don't feel that I am asking for any discounts. Did I get a by-the-book rep, or is this their policy?

were you with retentions or with a regular csr?
If yes for any of the above, ask to be transferred to the business/corporate department. I've got good resutls dealing with this department, as they are more knowledgeable and professional, for obvious reasons.

I'm currently with Telus (contract just ended) and want to switch to Rogers. I called (don't think i was speaking with retentions) and this is the best I got:

    200 min day
    even+wknd 6pm
    $20

    BB value pack $35

    Total $55 - $5 bill credit = $50 + SAF + 911 + tax

I have no history with Rogers wireless, but I do have Home Phone, Internet and Cable TV. Should I be asking for a different department? Can I get any better than this? I know I can get 15% off as well from Better Choice Bundles, but with no guarantee I will have the other 3 services for the next 3 years, I rather ask for a bill credit or other discount if possible.

The CSR said that if I go for this, he can mail me a Curve now then he will call me back in 3 days to setup the plan.

    Thanks.

    Hey all.

I got the iphone on an upgrade ($499) about a year ago. I'm on a corporate plan and went online, said im eligible for an upgrade end of July. So I call rogers too see what kind of discount i would get on a new phone, and was told that it would only apply to phones and not smartphones, which would be every 2 years.

Is this correct, should I speak to someone in corporate?

    Please advise.

    TJ.

UPDATE: Spoke to someone in corporate and they told me I'll have to sign a three year agreement (since ive only been on mine for 1, it will only mean one additional year) And I can get the dream for 225 or something like that.

    Is this correct info?

    TJ.

    Unltd Evenings

    Additional Services
    Detailed Billing
    Cdn Corporate Long Distance
    Network Features *
    Enhanced Voicemail
    Canada to US Long Distance
    Exact Pricing
    2500 Sent/Unlim Received Text

    Additional Charges**
    Unltd Evenings - $5.00 - Monthly
    9-1-1 Emergency Access Fee - $0.50 - Monthly
System Access Fee - $6.95 - Monthly - What is this?

    * I was told I could get the Dream from corporate for 225 and would have to add an extra year to my agreement (i'm one year into a three year deal). I want to renegotiate my plan, since I dont use the Long Distance and pay 10 bucks for texts.

What is the best way to go about this? Call corporate? Regular CSR? I no longer work for the company but I dont mind leaving this plan if it means I can lower my costs and use all aspects of my plan.

    Please help!!!

Has anybody heard how Rogers will handle cooperate pricing on the new Iphone 3GS later this month? As most already know, pricing was all over the map when original Iphone came out. I think the price change was if the plan was greater or less then $30 voice only minus extras. Would be ashamed if Rogers does the same again seeing that they will most likely not sell new Iphone for less then a 3 year contract.

its pretty easy. if you have a corporate plan, there is no "ball" you can play. there is no retention department for corporate clients, so you get the regular rates less any volume discount you're eligible for. 500MB will run you $25/month.

    Nonsense.

Retentions is happy to deal with corporate clients, depending on who you get.

My old lines and new lines are a mix of corporate and "save" account features.

25 bucks for 500mb is a bit too much...is there a point to move to that mega pack thing that costs $52 i believe which includes the 500mb in it as well as 250 minutes...etc..??

I called rogers corp HUP about the Iphone. They said I was eligible for the current 3g and I could pay 179 for the 16gb. I am waiting for the 3gS, but they didn't have any information about it. In addition they asked me for the employee id number which was strange as I signed up for the plan from wirelesswave. In any case rogers had never talked to me about my employment status. In any case, I just finished working, and I am no longer an employee, could I just give them my previous employee number. What will rogers do with it? They told me they can't give me an upgrade unless I give them my employee id.

    Any suggestions?

is it just the regular retention line that we could call to possibly work out some sort of deal with retentions?

Help me out here guys. Because of the new charging-for-incoming-text-messages on July 7, I want to add $5 text messaging plans to each of our 3 Corporate phones. But I want them to add them and give me on-going $5 credits for each to compensate. Do I speak to the Corporate plans dept, or Retentions? What do I say to them to get them to do it?
