    Want to paint a 6301

I use my 6301 as my voice line and well, to be quite honest, I just think it's ugly. It's a stainless steel casing and I want to give it a make over. My question is, other then buying a paint specifically made for metal is there anything else to take into consideration before I paint it? I know I need to primer first but after that I'm clueless. I've done some reading and pretty much the steps I read are:

    1) Clean the surface
    2) Primer
    3) Paint (and reapply if desired)
    4) Clear Coat

    Any other suggestions? Thanks

Not a good idea to paint a phone-regular use will cause the paint to chip/crack and otherwise look pretty gnarly in short time.

On Ebay there are folks that sell new housings for the 6301-some are even OEM housings. I replaced my housing with an all black one-looks great.

A word of warning if you go that route-exercise extreme care during both the dissassembly and re-assembly phases. You can veerrrry easily do damage to the buttons and make the phone non-operable or severely crippled in functionality.

You know, on your suggestion, I ordered a complete black oem housing for my phone for 12.99 shipped and then ordered a clear neoprene case as well.
