I'm noticing that it seems to re-install if I run it after I have used one of the other java apps I have installed (Gmail / Gmaps). Gmaps seems to have the same problem (I have to accept the terms and conditions and lose my favourites) but Gmail always remains signed in. I wonder if it has something to do with the space restriction set aside for apps. Browsing HTML sites and using GMaps uses a lots of storage...Originally Posted by Chad92
I'm using 2.3.2. I found the link somewhere in this forum. I had a similar problem to what you are having and I cleaned up some of the files in the gmaps app directory and the problem went away.Originally Posted by PickyBoy
can I know what exactly that you remove from the directory???Originally Posted by Wuzzum

Okay seems like I'm beating a dead horse here, seeing as the last..I don't know, 17 pages of this thread are about Java apps, but as far as the Bitpim ringtone trick, I'm using a Macbook with OS X 10.4.11 Panther. I just bought a Keybo EnV2 or whatever, and I previously had a Motorola RAZR v3c.
I am familiar with the filesystem trick as I used it constantly with my Razr. The trick with macs is, since you obviously can't use the XP drivers, you plug it in first, then open BitPim, and it should recognize the phone under Other CDMA phone, or whatever it is.
ANYWAYS, when I do this, my Macbook DOES recognize the Keybo, but it has it under like a 'locked' port. As in it can't be accessed. Anyone know of any solutions?
hey guys ive been looking all over the forums and have been unable to find any information on this ... I have a Koodo keybo and was wondering if there is a hack to allow me to use the phone as a modem for my computer. if anyone could post the info or give me a link that would be perfect or at least let me know that it cannot be done at least i would know lol.
oh and i was having issues connecting to bitpim using the guide too but have found a workaround
i'm using bitpim 1.06 official _and win xp
when i originally followed the steps i would get errors or nothing at all and had verified ports ......
the way i actually got this to work was by setting to the env2 and using automatic detection bitpim actually finds my phone and reads the filesystem in about 30 seconds
but there is one problem (more of an annoyance) whenever i upload new ringtones my favorites in openwave get erased small price to pay though
still hoping for a telus firmware to be leaked so i can enable java
have fun all and thanks for the information so far
Thanks anyway. Yeah hopefully they will. For the time being though, I called them and they gave my g/f 2 free months of web browsing ... so she can get msn that way. Hopefully they'll have the issue resolved before then.
I have a quick question for all the Guru's here.I managed to get opera mini on my keybo but for some strange reason it does'nt seem to be an English version? The language is almost like a Spanish and French dialect? If anybody has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. This forum is all that and a bag of chips!lol.

Voila it should connect. now i have tried this with my telus keybo but it does not work. but when i use to be with bell/aliant it did. so i dunno. koodo might work though. all it is is using the ev-do network. hope it works for you.
