I used it to convert files up to 22 minutes into .3gp files, which play quite well on my Keybo. I'll probaly start chopping up some of my favorite movies into chapters to watch on my phone

Ok so if you convert the movies to the proper ratios where do you store them and how can you play them? Do I need to download a video player or is there already one on the phone??

They should have just put "you have the latest software, no need to update" lol

they definitely need to make themes for this, cause this stupid green one is ugly.

    320x240
aspect ratio that works well in fullscreen is 4:3

    convert them to .mp4

and put them onto your MicroSD card under My_Videos

no need to download a player the one on the phone works.
(besides i dont think there is any others you can download.)

Hi & thanks for taking the time to post the Telus 9100 Key-bo Ring Tone tutorials.

I was able to add lots of both ring tones & text tones to my key-bo. (8 gig Mini-Card)

RE: Video, although I was able to add video clips to the Bit-Pim video files, when I tried to access these video files to play, via > Pictures & Videos > 4. My Videos. A “No video Saved” Box came up?

Is there also a tutorial for adding & playing videos?

Finally, I take it as the Bit-Pim installation is for the LG > VX8800 (Venus) rather than the 9100 Key-bo all the other Bit-Pim features are un-useable. Eg. The phone book, the calender etc...?
Meaning the Bit-pim installation was strictly for adding ring tones.

Again thanks everyone for your work on the key-bo, your posts & continuing Help are great.

couple of questions on the LG keybo

    Hi,
Thanks again for the great help here.

I have two questions, and thought its worth a shot to ask :

Is there a way to assign a ring tone to restricted calls ?

Is there a way to turn off the shutter sound when using the camera ?

    Thanks in advance

has anyone tried replacing the camera sound with a blank sound file? it's worked on other phones before.

on another note, is there any way to get the GPS working with google maps? I've got mgmaps working and its decent but for my wife, google maps would be easier.

I've installed Opera Mini, and it works. The problem is every time I powercycle the phone, my bookmarks disappear. I've tried using Opera Link, but I can't seem to get it to work from the phone. It keeps telling me I've logged in successfully, but syncs nothing, and if I choose the Synchronize command, it prompts me for credentials again.

    Any suggestions?

Read the post right above yours. You don't need Bitpim to add video.

What are you talking about??? While waiting to snap a picture, hit options, and look around. There's 3 snap sounds and 1 quiet, different pic sizes, night mode, etc......

and I hope you know that you can zoom in/out and adjust brightness with the arrow keys...

    Man, you're missing out!

Where exactly is it? I really wish that it was there, I've just tried looking for it in the options menu that comes up for the camera, maybe it's only on the verison phone or something....

I can't speak for other providers, but the Telus KEYBO in fact does not allow muting the shutter. There simply is no option to change anything shutter-related.
