I just had a question about powering off the phone. My Keybo powers off really, really fast when I press the power button. In fact, if I have the default Telus "power off" sound enabled, the very last note gets cut off because the phone turns off while it's still playing.

I am not complaining, but would like to know if this is normal. The phones I've had in the past took a bit longer to shut off.

a couple more questions from me...
    1) With MultiExtractor, how do i replace a file in the .bin? I used the import function and imported a blank .wav under the name 00036.wav and now when i open it again the file i replaced is just gone...
    2) So I think i got the right .dll to use in LGNPST, but where do i put it so the program recognizes it in select dll? Right now I have it in C:\LG Electronics\LGNPST\model\vx9100\vx9100.dll is this right, because i tried other locations and still no dice.

Thank you all for so much help

Once again, I figured it out with the magic of google, and ended up using a voyager dll with LGNPST, but now my phone does some weird things

    1) Upon hitting "OK" to go to the main menu, it starts with "contacts" highlighted instead of "music and media"
    2) On the sub-menus, (contacts, call history, messaging, etc) the green highlight doesn't appear anymore. The highlighted text gets a little brighter though, but it's hard to tell what's highlighted anymore
    3) BitPim is automatically detecting that it's a Voyager. Did I totally screw up my phone?

ALSO, I still haven't gotten rid of the stupid shutter sound, which is why I started this in the first place!

    Telus - KeyBo & BlueAnt Supertooth 3

I have successfully transferred the contact list from my (TELUS) LG KeyBo to my BlueAnt ST3.

I used the procedure outlined in section F of the BlueAnt manual. I’ve tried this before without success (LG285 & KeyBo). However it did eventually work on the KeyBo and I thought I would post to let others know that it can be done. It’s a feature of the hands free that I’m sure we all find useful!

If you hear the BlueAnt respond with the number of contacts. You'll know it succeeded.

Ok, so I've had LG KEYBO for a little while.(about 8mths) I don't really like it all that much but I'm still stuck with it for a little while so I'm hoping this bitpim thing will help make liking this POS a little easier. But I am a complete idiot when it comes to this kind of thing. I'm going to follow the instructions left by aplen22(which are very awesome) but before I do this is there anything that can mess up my phone? I've also seen some posts about people having trouble getting it to work. Is there anything that I should know or do before I try and add this software to my phone?

Any feed back on this would be hugely appreiated!
    Thanks everyone!!

I got the new bolt browser working on my keybo... But it tends to crash for most sites and doesn't deal with the keyboard well like Opera Mini does... Symbols/Shift do not work so there's no way to put a "." in URL's for instance... Maybe once they've released a better beta version I'll give it another try...

If anyone else cares to give it a whirl... You can get the .jar file at

    http://209.68.35.19/beta/bolt.jar

JAD files... I tried the dual signed one I think, no time to test unsigned or anything atm.

    Dual Signed Build: http://boltbrowser.com/bolts2.jad
    Verisign Signed Build: http://boltbrowser.com/boltvs.jad
    Thawte Signed Build: http://boltbrowser.com/boltts.jad
    Unsigned Build: http://boltbrowser.com/bolt.jad

Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention I had to restart the phone before the browser would load at all.

Hey all, just thought I would help noobs by posting the LG USB drivers & BitPim links. Many versions going around that are hacked/infected but I put this one together and it is clean and works 100%. Just remember to use the VX8800 instead of the VX9100 profile!!

Question I cannot find the answer to.

Is it possible to have text messages save to the MicroSD card as opposed to the phone itself? I know it's not possible without hacking but that's why I'm in this thread. My girlfriend's Keybo is annoying her with its very limited messaging capacity, especially the inbox.

I'm still confused about getting rid of the shutter sound...can I get some help with this replacing the 00036.wav in the firmware? I'll try to replace it but the next time I open the firmware the edited .wav is gone
