But then I told her I was on the waiting list so she asked me to tell her the name of the first rep that put my name down and then went in the back room! I was wtf... she is going to ask her if they want to sold me one. She then came back and asked me if I was buying it full price... I told her yeah and she did a sad face and said that they would receive some soon and to be patient.

A lot of question for someone that didn't received any...

I went to Future Shop after to check and saw that they had the Diamond picture but no price. The guy told me that they may have some in stock... and then he showed me the LG Vu and said that it was almost the same thing!
LOL omg same ppl at eaton centre told me the opposite. They first said that i COULDNT buy the phone because im an existing client and that they can only set it up for new clients because apparently "some code" wasn't working.

B/S I'm glad I argued with them and told them to "try it" or to call retentions or whatever......and when they do it they said "oh hey look, its working now!"

    yeah right....

But yeah in the end I got it. Its charging now so I will post more details later but a few:

    - youtube player goes great and runs very quick
    - teeter is really fun!
    - the case is pretty decent, better than i was expecting and yes it does clip on to your belt
    - the charger is in fact really nice as someone mentioned. it has a glossy black finish to it, and the "htc" logo glows up in light once you plug it into the outlet
    - i havn't tried the GPS yet or anything so i cant comment on it, nor have i installed any third party apps liek google maps either
    - my phone froze up already after leaving the youtube player in the middle of a video....

Question: i heard when u close or switch apps, they aren't really "closed" I'm thinking that this will serverely affect the "lag" that is experienced on the phones. What is the proper method to "close an app"? This is my first smartphone so I'm not really sure.

    Thanks

Hmmmm you've just confirmed that I will never buy from that store again! The girl never said they received any so I wasn't in a position to argue... but I was sure she had some in the back.

Also the waiting list is the lamest attemp at a list... I guess they'll call people in 2 weeks when they are fully stocked...

Anyway it will be Future Shop or Best Buy for me. They will take my 450$ with a smile I'm sure.

Grats on your Diamond btw. Thanks for the case info, really cool news as I won't have to pay another 20-30$ to have a good case.

How is the web? As smooth as the videos? Do you have any out of memory errors?

As for the closing, if it is like the GSM version on videos it should come with a task manager (tap in top right corner) and there you can close the apps you want (or all of them). If not Windows Mobile is "supposed to" close them when it needs memory... "supposed" is the keyword here.

Press and hold the 'X' in the right corner. Tapping it will 'Minimize' the program, holding it should close it completely.

Whooooo! I lucked out, got the Last one at the square one store. A guy in front of me was buying one too. It was funny, one of the other Telus reps was answering the phone and must have gotten about 5-6 calls about the Diamond as they were setting mine up.

OK, some comparison shots between the GSM Diamond and the CDMA Diamond...
Those who for some reason envy the glossy diamond back... don't its horrible for prints and the facets cause the device to not sit flat and also easily scratch on the ridges.
The size of the CDMA Diamond is actually more comfortable to hold...
Nuff said have a look at the links.
*oh and yes that is a Nokia N82 you can see the reflection of in the pic of the face's, best cam phone around*
