    Dear L&R, you are wonderful

I myself, personally don't wind up saving any money, but they did switch my plan to the Student 50 plan for me which got me an extra 5 faves. However, they did put my mom on the Small Talk 15 plan plus throw her 50 bonus minutes per month, so her bill is now around $17 (SAF and 911 are included in her monthly plan), however there's no unlimited evenings and weekends with that. So, if that doesn't work out (using too many minutes, etc.) the rep said to call back in and we can put her on a the "Sweet Deal" (?) plan which is 200 anytime, unlimited evenings and weekends starting at 6pm, and... some other stuff I can't remember but it's $20/month + saf/911 + taxes.

I change plans like I change my underwear, but this will be staying for awhile.

    OLD PLAN (on LG Chocolate)
    Talk 30
    50 Day minutes
    CW
    CF
    CONF
    CID
    VM25
    Unlimited evenings at 7PM
    Per second billing
Bill was about $47 per month, but I was paying an average of $65. Texting and web browsing were the killer.

    NEW PLAN:
    $17.30 EPP
    200 Day minutes
    CID
    CONF
    CW
    VM3
    Upgrades (3 Years)
Free evenings and weekends at 6PM
    VM10
    250 Free text bundle
    Free incoming calls
    Data Plan (unlimited web) $15

    Total = $17.30 + 15 + 6.95 (SAF) + .75(911) + GST = $42

Oh and I've been a client since Feb 2001
Purchased the Curve 8330 for $99 at Futureshop, was suppose to be for new clients only but the salesperson gave it to me anyways.

Had to give up the per second billing, but was worth it to get free incoming, since that was what most of my calls were during the day. And I now get an extra hour for free evenings.

    I love Telus!

I had called some time ago to arrange a nice plan when I switched to the Diamond, which included free Voice Male 10, free 250 text messages and free Caller ID as well as a waived handset exchange fee.

I've now changed over to the Diamond and just received my bill. Turns out they failed to waive the exchange fee and accidentally charged me $30 instead of $15 for the Diamond unlimited data plan. Of course, knowing L&R was only a phone call away, I didn't worry too much about it. I called in and instead of getting the $15 credited back to me I was offered 50% off the next two months (~$50 value) and instead of the $25 exchange fee being credited back he offered me 75 long distance minutes a month (as he noticed I often end up paying for long distance calls) which amounts to $11.25 a month and just over $400 over my 3 year plan!

Here's a breakdown of my current plan:

$25 - 250 daytime minutes, free on weekends and after 6pm
$15 - Unlimited data (IM, email, browsing)
    6.95 - System Access fee
    $0.75 - 911 Emergency fee
FREE - 75 minutes long distance
    FREE - Caller ID
    FREE - Voice Mail 10
    FREE - 250 text messages
    FREE - Incoming texts

    Subtotal: $47.70
    PST: $3.34
    GST: $2.39

    TOTAL: $53.43

    I am happy :-)

I have something close to that plan:
    $10
    300 daytime
    Unlimited incoming
    200 long distance
    My Fave National
Call display, VM 10, unlimited text
Plus I pay $15 for unlimited data and I have 2 lines on the same plan.

I'm in AB and just negotiated this last month so I don't have a bill yet. I'm not holding my breath as this seems way to good to be true but I have confirmed it with 2 different reps. If my bill comes and us correct I will sign a contract fir the 2nd line (it's month to month). Will report back as well!
