With telus on a 3 year Contract - 13 months left (expires May 2013) because I left Bell and their monopoly after being with them for 6years.

When I first started out in may 2010 I had this - 65$ tax inc.
    Voice and data flex 50$
    which included
    100 min bonus
    6PM nights and weekends
    500 MB
    CALLER ID/ VM3
    unlimited texts

I was starting to pay for data overusage so I asked to switch plans they switched me to the voice and data plan for 65$ - the total comes up to 83$ tax inc.
Which included everything I had but instead of 500Mb I got 1GB...

and MOTHER EFFER I just noticed that when she switched my contract in FEB THEY TOOK OFF MY 100 MINS BONUS! I didnt notice until I wrote on this forum and checked out my plan which is BEFORE I spoke with retention. they NEVER told me my plan would take out my 100mins - she just mentioned I would pay more but increase my plan to 1GB data but everything else would stay the same.

    Spoke with Retention

At first she offered me to credit the Caller IP (7$ less a month for the remainder of my 13 months)

After tellling her I had a 45$ deal with Bell (which is bogus) which includes 300 mins, 5PM evenings and weekends, VM, CID, unlimited TEXT, 5GB, incoming calls.... I told her I wasnt afraid to leave despite the cancellation fee because I would be saving money regardless with this other Bell deal.

    She offered me for 58$
    200 mins
    5PM nights and weekends unlimited
    1 GB of Data
    Unlimited Texts
    VM3/ CID
    10 favs

call lasted 13mins, but I asked if there was anything more she could do and she said no - trying to push to make the changes effective on my account... HELP?! How long should I wait before calling back?
Someone I know has the same contract as me which I pay 83$ tax in and he pays 35$ for it, I have his number, can I use him as a reference?

And Is there anything I can do with the fact that they took away my 100mins bonus that I had until I changed my plan?! I know I've never gone over in daytime minutes but thats because I refuse to answer to anyone before 6PM in order to avoid this and when I do I check my times... Although I'm starting a 2nd job which will probably have my cell phone as a way to contact me and I find it rather sad that they screwed me over like this without me noticing - I never check my phone bills usually unless its higher than usual.
I called requesting to cancel my cell contract (11months left) since I broke my Phone last Friday.

They offered me for 55$: and this is without even me negotiating anything.
    Incoming/Outgoing local calls
    1GB Data
    Unlimited text
    VM (10) and Caller ID
Taxes inc comes up to 63$ he says.

Any thoughts? The only thing I negotiated is the 110$ fee to cancel the existing contract - he willingly put it down to 55$ himself - said it was too much since I'd also have to pay the activation fee of a new phone so he brought it down to 30$. I would get a new phone (but also a new contract)

I wish I could get this deal for 50$ tax inc.

^Sounds like the $35 unlimited plan + $20 for 1GB and free Loyalty Package 15. That's a great deal! It's very tough to get the $20/1GB plan in conjuntion with the $35 unlimited plan, never mind the free features as well.

I spoke with Telus Retentions today and got the following (month to month):

    200 anytime mins
    100 Canada LD
Free Telus to Telus (including LD)
    Free evenings and weekends (6pm)
    1 gb data
Unlimited texting (picture, video, and regular)
    Voicemail 3
    Caller ID
    Call waiting and conference calling

Total $50 per month plus tax. Not the best deal I have ever heard of but works for what I need at this point and overall a fair price. I harldy had to wait on hold and the person I dealt with was very friendly and helpful.

Customer with telus for 5 years.

In the last three years I had this plan:

    Plan $10.00/mo.
    System access fee: 13.90$
    911 fee: 1.5$

    Included with your plan
    200 local minutes free
    SPARK Sampler
    Text Messaging Services
    Unlimited Evenings/Weekends after 6pm
    Free Local Birthday Calls
    Canadian LD $0.35
    Conference Calling
    Call Waiting

    Additional Addons
    Voice Mail 3 promo $0.00/mo.
    International Voice Roaming $0.00/mo.
    Caller # ID Restrict $0.00/mo.
    Data Services Block $0.00/mo.
    International Calling On $0.00/mo.
    50 mins $5 - free 1 yr $0.00/mo.
    Caller # ID - free 1 yr $0.00/mo.
    Telus2Telus free 1 yr $0.00/mo.

I've had this plan on two phones with telus for 3 years. In the last year though, only 1 phone had Voice Mail, the other one didn't!
Now they won't give me the caller ID for free nor the telus to telus for free for another year, so I'm leaving for Wind

PS in the last 2 years I've had no contract with Telus, I was on a month to month term.

My plan expires in 2 months and in 3 weeks when the Galaxy S3 is coming out, I'm aiming to get the Sask55 although I live in Manitoba and add CID in the price. I've been with Telus for 13 years. Anyone thinks I have a chance ?

You do not have to wait for the phone to arrive to change plans. Call them today and ask for the plan you want.

We think everyone should be able to afford a wireless phone. That's why we were the first wireless company in North America to offer pay-by-the-second airtime, and why we don't charge an activation fee. NO scary contract to sign. Immediate national coverage. And a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Yes, it's finally time to get a wireless phone.

Just got off the line with retentions and this is what I got. I've been a Telus client since 2008, switched to Rogers in January, but switched back to Telus. After talking with a not-so-helpful retentions rep, I got a really nice lady that gave me CID free for 1 year on a month to month plan.

So I called Telus today and told them that I want the sask55 (although i live in Manitoba) plan with called ID and they said "yes no problem, let us know when the phone you want is out and that's what will give you". And then they said they would put a note on my file. It was too easy maybe I should've ask for more...

Doesn't hurt that you are in Manitoba where they already give plans not available in their major markets. Telus is basically operating like a new entrant in that province trying to steal customers with cheaper pricing. So yeah, a sask plan in Manitoba isn't so crazy.

Well Telus wants to screw me over. I called them today when I learned that the sask55 is now sask60 and includes caller ID. So now they don't want to give it to me anymore for 55$ including caller ID. I'm not very happy with this situation. A few days ago when I called them I asked specifically that I was afraid the sask55 promotion would go away when the time came for me to get the phone I wanted and that's why I wanted them to put notes on my file or if I could sign a contract now and get the phone later. She said "no I'll put notes on your file so you should be fine. I knew it was too easy...

Edit: after some negotiations, they gave it to me, the sask55 with caller ID and looks like they kept my 100 minutes LD for another 3 years.

Calling a second time usually does it. What phone did you get?
