I find it irritating that cingular disabled the sound recording. Is it really that hard for Cingular to make the phones at have the same features?

Anyway, I was wondering if this difference is merely software. Would a new flash enable it? I don't like paying for a product and not getting all the features, especially since this fact is so well hidden (It even says it has it in the manual labeled CT56).

The next question would be: How would I go about getting this fixed?

I still have the oppurtunity to return the phone, and so far I like it. Is the C56 (provided by ATT) also locked to other services such as Cingular?
