    Help dismantle Nokia 6133, newbie

Hello all, I have a Nokia 6133 with a bad power jack, I'd like to dismantle and replace. Cannot find help here, or on uselessinfo.org or anywhere.

Instructions on full or partial dismantle appreciated. Superior Home roast coffee avaialble for help. A small reward does not mean that you are not generous.

    Thank you!

either way i think once you get it apart and have the power jack exposed, granted you find a new one, you will probably have to solder the new jack to the circut board. might as well find a cheap replacement.

Thanks for the response. I'm not about to give up. Parts companies show the same jack in the 6133 as in the 6103 and 6101 so it should be pressed to fit between two fixed elements, with contacts not soldered. Mind you, being a newbie I might be wrong but I will press ahead.

I have access to a pretty nice soldering station, with fancy vices, third hands and such, and I have a hobbist's experience (from the 80's), but plastic clips and cell phones I have no experience with.

I have gotten some back-channel help from the community, so my need is less urgent (but further help is still most welcome). Thanks to he who helped back-channel, dictoresno, and others who might pitch in. I will post what I can to help others. I will be charging the battery outside the phone for a while, need to buy a shim and the part before I do the opening and repair. So please keep it coming!

the 6133 is similar to my 6131. ill try to help you from memory since im at work and my phone is at home. once you remove the back plastic cover and battery you will see tiny T-5 screws that hold the phone together. now being the charger is on the top of the phone, i dont know how much harder it will be to replace since most power jacks are on the bottom of the phone and more easily accessible.

You should search around for service manual, but you won't find it here, because it is sort of "illegal"

call tmobile tell them it wont charge and they will send you a refurbished phone you just have to pay for shipping.
