    VX8600 upgrade firmware?

    I am thinking if I upgrade my firmware it might fix my vcast player problem. I have a question, will upgrading the firmware hurt any of my settings with the phone being unlocked?

    I had a vx8600 for verizon and took it to metro where they performed the metroFLASH so it would work on their network. I am just wondering if doing the flash will mess up the settings or possibly set it back to a verizon phone.

    If you flash it with VZW's firmware then it's likely it will change it back to a VZW phone.
